Why it stands out
The 2017 Ford Escape stands out in a competitive crossover market due to its impressive combination of comfort, handling, and cargo space. Drivers appreciate the powerful performance offered by its new EcoBoost engine variants, particularly the 2.0-liter turbocharged option, which provides 245 horsepower and exceptional drive responsiveness. The model also received significant updates, including a refined interior and an advanced Sync 3 infotainment system that integrates seamlessly with smartphones. With a solid safety rating from both the NHTSA and IIHS, the Escape not only prioritizes performance but also rider protection. I bought a 2017 Escape in 2019 with 30,000 miles on it from a lease. I’ve never been a ford fan or even owned one, but I stepped out on a limb and this became the best car I’ve ever owned! Minimal maintenance and repairs and just a great car!! I put 160,000 miles on this car with zero issues. I would definitely buy it again.

I loved everything about it! I loved it so much, I bought it. Great visibility, handles very well, feels tight, well-balanced and agile. Gas mileage ratings are also good. The roof racks and tow-ready package are a bonus. So is the intelligent 4x4. It also has plenty of room for storage all over the vehicle with attention to detail and ergonomic design. The only thing I had a problem with was connecting my phone. The display screen is far away and a bit difficult to read and I still havent figured out how to access the sub menu for adding Bluetooth devices. I guess I have to resort to reading the directions. Overall, its a very good value!

I had a 2017 Ford Escape SE with the Sport Appearance package. I loved it so much, Im looking for one just like it. Most impressive was its handling in an accident. Mine was unfortunately totaled, but it did great, deploying the proper air bags, automatically shutting the engine down and putting itself in crash mode, automatically turning the flashers on, and immediately dialing 911 FOR me. I was spun into a ditch and the car stayed upright. Its well balanced and handles well, and the tech features you can get on it are pretty top notch. With the Ford Pass app, you can start your vehicle remotely, lock your doors a mile a way if you need to. I love it. The only short side for me had to deal with the tires on the Sport Appearance package. I felt like they didnt handle wet roads as well as I would have liked, and the thinner tires provided a slightly less smooth ride. I could feel the road a little more with them, but I loved the look of them and it was worth the sacrifice for me.
