How much does the 2017 Chevrolet Impala cost?

Is the 2017 Chevrolet Impala a good car?

Yes — the 4.82/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise the spacious interior, comfortable ride, and stylish design, and they also like the roomy trunk and the mix of convenience and safety features. For you, that makes the Impala a strong fit if you want a big, easy-to-live-with sedan with straightforward controls and family-friendly space. With 26.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Chevrolet Impala reliable?

Owners rate it 4.82/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also points to a car that feels dependable in everyday use, with owners highlighting comfort, performance, and a trouble-free ownership experience overall. The strongest positive themes are the roomy cabin, the large trunk, and the sense that the car is easy to count on for regular driving. For used buyers, that suggests the main long-term ownership risk is less about day-to-day livability and more about choosing a well-kept example with a clean history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Chevrolet Impala?

At 48.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of uneven wear that could point to past repairs. It also makes sense to focus on overall cabin condition and how well the car’s comfort and tech features have been maintained, since those are major reasons to buy this model.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chevrolet Impala?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 26.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 579 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.88% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 48.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,910, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chevrolet Impala's resale value?

The current average of $12,123 sits slightly below last year's $12,612.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, which can also mean future sellers may need to stay realistic on asking price. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it comes time to resell. The model’s broad appeal around comfort and space should help support demand, especially if you choose a clean, well-maintained example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.82/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Chevrolet Impala or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 26.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 48.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.88% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.82/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of value, comfort, and owner satisfaction, the 2017 is the primary year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a cleaner or cheaper listing gives you a better overall deal, but the 2017 already looks attractive if you find a well-kept example at the right price.
