Is the 2017 Chevrolet Corvette a good car?

Yes — the 4.75/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the Corvette’s outstanding performance, eye-catching design, power, and handling, while also noting its driver-focused appeal and everyday usability. For you, that means this model year makes the most sense if you want a sports car that feels thrilling without giving up all practicality. Is the 2017 Chevrolet Corvette reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback emphasizes a car that feels dependable in the ways that matter most to enthusiasts: it delivers the performance and driving experience buyers expect, and many owners seem happy enough with it to recommend it strongly. The recurring praise for the car’s long-term appeal suggests that, when maintained well, it can be a satisfying used purchase.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the car’s appeal and more about finding one that has been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Chevrolet Corvette?

At 73.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership patterns before you commit. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on body condition, tire wear, and signs of hard use, since performance cars can hide expensive wear. You should also pay close attention to how well the car has been maintained, because condition matters a lot when you are buying a used sports car.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chevrolet Corvette?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 857 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.70% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 73.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $53,252, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chevrolet Corvette's resale value?

The current average of $56,537 sits slightly above last year's $55,050.

That kind of upward movement suggests the market still values this model year well, which can help support resale strength if you buy carefully. If prices continue to hold near the current average, you may have a better chance of recovering value later than you would with a softer-used sports car market. Strong demand and a healthy pool of shoppers interested in performance cars can also help keep resale interest steady.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Chevrolet Corvette or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.70% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $55,367, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $56,537 average.
• It offers especially striking styling and standout performance.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market benchmark and are comfortable paying a bit more, the 2017 is the better all-around target. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2016 is worth a look because it comes in below the 2017’s average while still delivering the core Corvette experience.
