How much does the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado cost?

There are 2,005 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado earns a 4.73/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its reliability, performance, and value, and they also like its smooth ride, safety features, and versatility as a work truck. That lines up well with its role as a midsize pickup that blends capability with everyday usability, especially if you want a truck that can handle work duties without feeling oversized. With 29.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 4.73/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as reliable, dependable, and a truck they can count on, with positive feedback centered on long-term ownership confidence. The same owner feedback also points to strong value and versatility, which usually matters when you plan to keep a used truck for years. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure you avoid a poorly maintained example, especially one with transmission-related concerns or costly diesel upkeep.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Chevrolet Colorado?

At 63.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you go any further. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention to transmission behavior, overall wear, and any signs of uneven maintenance. Focus on condition first, because a clean-looking truck can still hide expensive issues if it has been used hard or repaired poorly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chevrolet Colorado?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,005 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.51% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,329, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $18,502 sits slightly below last year's $19,791.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the softer pricing means condition, mileage, and maintenance history matter even more because buyers will have plenty of comparable listings to choose from. Strong presentation and a clean history will matter if you want to stand out in a market that has already eased.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.73/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.73/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $17,033, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $18,502 average.
• It offers a more distinctive diesel-focused appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around shopping case, the 2017 is the better primary target because it combines solid owner satisfaction with a softer price trend and decent deal availability. If your top priority is spending less upfront, the 2016 is the secondary path worth considering, especially if you find one in excellent condition and the lower price matters more than the newer-year market position.
