You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can catch hidden body, suspension, or repair issues. What is the 2017 Buick Envision's resale value?

The current average of $13,053 sits slightly below last year's $14,058.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you keep the vehicle in good condition and avoid examples with accident history, you may be better positioned when it comes time to sell. Strong market interest also matters, and the current mix of listings shows there is still active shopper demand for this model year.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Buick Envision or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2017 if you want the best balance of price, owner satisfaction, and available inventory in this group. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2017’s stronger satisfaction signal and current market softness.
