What’s New for the 2026 Buick Envision
For 2026, the Buick Envision gets a price hike of about $3,000 across the lineup, which erodes its former value proposition compared to other compact luxury crossovers. Otherwise, the Envision gets just an updated exterior color palette and some other minor updates. Quartz Blue Metallic and Midnight Opal are new, while Calypso Blue Metallic, Smokey Amethyst Metallic, and White Frost Tricoat are gone. The Envision no longer includes a standard cargo organizer or first aid kit. It was last refreshed in 2024 and redesigned in 2021.
Design
The Envision is a stylish and cheerful little crossover, a more polished version of the Chevrolet crossovers with which it shares design and engineering. It has a sleeker nose and roofline than most of its rivals, which have largely evolved back toward more upright and blunt front ends and greenhouses. The Envision comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels on the Preferred trim and 20-inch wheels on the Sport Touring and Avenir trims.
Powertrain
Every Envision features a turbocharged four-cylinder engine rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, with a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive (AWD). It’s neither quick nor fast, though it’s adequate for everyday driving. The steering and handling both lack feedback, but the ride is compliant and comfortable. The Envision is EPA-rated for 22 mpg, 28 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined, which is about average for the class.
Interior
You’ll find more space inside the Buick Envision than you might expect, with 40.4 inches of front legroom and 38.9 inches of rear legroom. This might be the Envision’s best trick, along with its about-average cargo capacity of 25.2 cubic feet behind the second row and a maximum of 52.7 cubic feet with the second row folded down. Standard features include power-adjustable front seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Options include heated front seats, ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, a heated steering wheel, synthetic leather upholstery, and quilted and perforated leather upholstery.
Technology
Though the Envision’s cabin is a bit disappointing for what Buick claims is a luxury vehicle, the infotainment system is a step in the right direction and the focal point of the interior. The system spans 30 combined inches across the dash, incorporating both a digital instrument display and a touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other standard features include wireless charging and a nine-speaker Bose audio system.
