About 2020 Buick Envision
The Buick Envision, a compact premium crossover, carries over for 2020. It aims to rival the Acura RDX, Audi Q5, and BMW X3. A 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine comes standard on the Envision, producing 197 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque. It pairs with a 6-speed automatic transmission and comes standard with front-wheel drive (FWD) or optional all-wheel drive (AWD). If that’s not quite enough, Buick offers a beefier turbocharged 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine capable of 252 hp and 295 lb-ft. That engine comes with a 9-speed automatic transmission and an advanced twin-clutch AWD system. Both engines feature automatic start-stop with a disable button, and fuel-economy ratings for the Envision are as high as 22 mpg city, 29 highway, and 25 combined. Buick lets you choose from 1SV, Preferred, Essence, Premium, and Premium II trims. The 1SV trim bundles 18-inch wheels, LED taillights, laminated glass, 4G LTE WiFi connectivity, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless access and start, sliding and reclining second-row chairs, an 8-way power front driver’s seat, and an 8.0-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, navigation, heated front and rear seats, and a Bose 7-speaker audio system are among the available options. The Premium and Premium II trims get the bigger engine and superior AWD system. As far as safety, the base trim comes with a reversing camera, rear parking sensors, an exterior tire-fill alert, and Teen Driver, which lets you monitor and set parameters on any children that might borrow your car. As you ascend the trim ladder, you’ll get blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, forward-collision alert, automatic parking assist, and a head-up display (HUD). The Envision received mostly Good crash-safety scores from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Buick combines value and luxury in the 2020 Envision.
