How much does the 2017 BMW 7 Series cost?

Prices have softened 10.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 508 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2017 BMW 7 Series a good car?

Yes — the 2017 BMW 7 Series earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxurious experience, powerful performance, smooth ride, spacious interior, and advanced safety technology. For you, that means this is a compelling fit if you want a flagship sedan that blends prestige with a more engaging driving feel than many rivals. With 31.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 BMW 7 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling luxury experience, with many drivers describing the car as smooth, comfortable, and trouble-free in day-to-day use. At the same time, some reviewers mention high maintenance costs, so long-term ownership risk is less about basic durability and more about the expense of keeping a used flagship sedan in top shape.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 BMW 7 Series?

At 56.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you commit. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a car with advanced technology and expensive options, because repair costs can add up quickly if something has been neglected. Focus your attention on overall condition, maintenance documentation, and whether the car’s features are working as intended.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 BMW 7 Series?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 508 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.38% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,225, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $19,225 sits slightly below last year's $21,451.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car more attractive to you as a buyer but less favorable if you're planning to sell soon. If you own one, pricing pressure may continue unless your car stands out with strong condition, clean history, and desirable equipment. Well-kept examples should still draw interest, but the broader trend favors buyers more than sellers right now.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of value and owner satisfaction, the 2017 is the primary year to target because pricing has eased and the model still scores well with owners. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on the broader market and compare condition, history, and equipment carefully, since the best deal may matter more than the model year itself.
