How much does the 2016 Subaru Impreza cost?

There are 796 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2016 Subaru Impreza a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Subaru Impreza earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview frames it as a practical all-weather compact with standard all-wheel drive, so it fits you well if you want extra confidence in poor conditions and everyday usefulness. It also emphasizes a straightforward, no-nonsense character rather than sporty or luxury ambitions. With 30.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2016 Subaru Impreza reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The overview describes it as practical, affordable, and easy to live with, with standard all-wheel drive adding to its everyday appeal. Its rough ride and cheap interior materials are worth keeping in mind, but they do not change the fact that this is a simple, confidence-oriented used-car choice. For long-term ownership, you should still focus on maintenance history and overall condition so those compromises do not become costly surprises.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Subaru Impreza?

At 56.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any promising listing and confirm whether prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body panels, alignment, and signs of uneven wear, since those can reveal past collision issues. You should also focus on overall condition, because a practical car like this is best bought on maintenance and cleanliness as much as price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Subaru Impreza?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 796 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.31% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,330, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Subaru Impreza's resale value?

The current average of $10,405 sits slightly below last year's $10,874.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you can help protect value when it is time to sell. The model’s practical appeal and standard all-wheel drive should continue to support demand among shoppers who want an affordable, capable compact.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $10,188, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $10,405 average.
• It adds better interior amenities and a quieter cabin.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $12,686, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $10,405 average.
• It brings an all-new, practical package with standard all-wheel drive.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2016 if you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and all-weather practicality. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2015 is the better value play; if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling package, the 2017 is the step up to compare.
