Should I buy a 2023 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $22,612, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $19,191 average.
• It adds a more engaging RS trim and a more refined, feature-rich feel.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2023 is the stronger starting point because it combines lower pricing with solid inventory and strong owner satisfaction. If you are willing to spend more for a newer version with added excitement and updated appeal, the 2024 is the better secondary path.
