At 61% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with accident records. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for signs of wear that can come with a large luxury SUV. Focus on overall condition, maintenance consistency, and how well the cabin and major features have held up.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Lincoln Navigator?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 277 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.21% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,036, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Lincoln Navigator's resale value?

The current average of $14,036 sits slightly below last year's $14,966.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can matter if you plan to sell later. A lower current average can make the vehicle easier to buy now, but it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. Well-kept examples should hold up better than average ones because buyers in this segment tend to reward clean, well-documented vehicles.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Lincoln Navigator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2016 if you want the refreshed Navigator with strong owner approval and a softer market price. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can still shop nearby years, but the 2016 is the better starting point when you want a balance of value, satisfaction, and available inventory.
