How much does the 2016 Ford Taurus cost?

There are 519 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Ford Taurus a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the 2016 Ford Taurus has a practical appeal if you want a spacious full-size sedan with a broad mix of powertrain choices in a mainstream package. The overview also highlights a refreshed look, updated suspension, newer Sync and MyFordTouch infotainment software, and improved front seats, which help it feel more modern than its basic shape might suggest. In higher trims, features such as keyless entry and ignition, leather seating, and a power sunroof add to its everyday comfort and value. With 27.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find one priced attractively.

Is the 2016 Ford Taurus reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a late-model Taurus can make sense for shoppers who want a spacious, reliable sedan without paying much for it. Its appeal is strongest when you want comfort and practicality more than cutting-edge tech or sporty character. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a car whose condition or maintenance history doesn’t match its value-focused price.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Ford Taurus?

At 55.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually low or the car has higher mileage. Focus your condition check on signs of past repairs, uneven panel gaps, interior wear, and any evidence that the car’s comfort and electronics have not aged well.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Ford Taurus?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find value if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 519 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $9,943, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Ford Taurus's resale value?

The current average of $10,539 sits slightly below last year's $10,560.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which can help you estimate future depreciation more predictably. If you buy at the right price, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it comes time to sell. The Taurus’s value proposition is strongest when you focus on clean-condition examples that already sit near the lower end of the market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Ford Taurus or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a sensible choice if you want a spacious full-size sedan with stable pricing and a decent chance of finding a deal. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you should also compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.
