Used 2016 Ford Taurus for Sale near New Jersey

How much does the 2016 Ford Taurus cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 507 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Ford Taurus a good car?

Yes — 4.7/5 is a strong user rating for a used full-size sedan, and the Taurus’s appeal comes from its spacious cabin, broad mix of powertrain choices, and refreshed features for this generation. The 2016 model also offers a practical value angle if you want a mainstream sedan with a modernized feel, especially in higher trims with added convenience and comfort features. 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Ford Taurus reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Taurus’s appeal for reliability-minded shoppers comes from its late-generation status, updated suspension, and improved cabin and infotainment setup, all of which help it feel more settled than older versions. It also has a reputation for being a practical, comfortable sedan rather than a complicated one.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is finding a car that has been maintained consistently and hasn’t accumulated hidden wear from age and mileage.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Ford Taurus?

At 55.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks bodywork, alignment, and signs of uneven wear. Focus on overall condition, because a clean-looking Taurus can still hide past damage or deferred maintenance. If possible, compare several listings side by side so you can separate a well-kept example from one that only looks inexpensive.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Ford Taurus?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 507 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $9,940, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Ford Taurus's resale value?

The current average of $10,624 sits slightly below last year's $10,667.

That small decline suggests the Taurus has been holding value fairly steadily rather than dropping sharply. For you as a future seller, that means pricing should remain relatively predictable if your car is in good condition and has a clean history. The strongest examples will be the ones that stand out on maintenance, mileage, and overall presentation rather than just badge appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Ford Taurus or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Taurus makes the most sense if you want a roomy, value-oriented full-size sedan and you can find a clean example with a fair price. If you’re especially price-sensitive, it’s worth comparing nearby model years and focusing on the best-maintained car rather than the newest badge.
