Is the 2016 Ford Fusion a good car?

Generally — the 2016 Ford Fusion earns a 4.1/5 user rating, which points to broad owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its smooth ride, comfort, and reliability, and many also like the spacious interior and generous standard features. That lines up well if you want a midsize sedan that blends style, space, and a more polished driving feel than a basic commuter car. With 27.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive price.

Is the 2016 Ford Fusion reliable?

Owners rate it 4.1/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights reliability alongside the Fusion’s smooth ride and comfort, and owners also point to its dependable everyday usability and strong feature content. Some drivers do mention minor design flaws and occasional rearview camera or acceleration concerns, so a careful test drive still matters.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about broad reliability and more about finding a well-kept example without unresolved wear or prior damage.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Ford Fusion?

At 55.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. Put extra inspection priority on body panels, paint match, alignment, and electronic features like the rearview camera. It also helps to focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since a clean-looking listing can still hide past repairs.

What is the 2016 Ford Fusion's resale value?

The current average of $8,875 sits slightly below last year's $9,285.

That softer pricing suggests the Fusion is still accessible on the used market, but it also means future sellers may not see strong appreciation. If you buy at a competitive price now, you can help protect your resale position later. Condition will matter a lot, especially because buyers tend to reward cleaner history and well-kept examples.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.1/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Ford Fusion or consider a different year?

Choose the 2016 if:

• 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.1/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
