How much does the 2016 Ford Fusion cost?

There are 1,580 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Ford Fusion a good car?

Generally — the 2016 Ford Fusion earns a 4.1/5 user rating, which points to broad owner approval. Owners commonly praise its smooth ride, comfort, and reliability, and many also like the spacious interior and useful standard features. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a midsize sedan that feels polished, practical, and easy to live with. With 27.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Ford Fusion reliable?

Owners rate it 4.1/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also points to reliability and a dependable ownership experience, with owners describing the car as reliable and comfortable over time. That said, some shoppers mention minor design flaws and occasional concerns with the rearview camera and acceleration power, so a careful test drive matters. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a car that has been poorly maintained or has unresolved electronic or drivability issues.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Ford Fusion?

At 56.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially because accident history can affect both condition and resale value. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks bodywork, electronics, and camera operation, since those are the kinds of issues owners have mentioned. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, not just mileage or price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Ford Fusion?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,580 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.31% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,766, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Ford Fusion's resale value?

The current average of $8,766 sits slightly below last year's $9,258.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you own one, a lower entry price today can make depreciation feel less steep, but the recent decline means future resale gains are unlikely to be dramatic. Well-kept examples should still attract interest because shoppers continue to value the Fusion’s comfort and practicality.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.1/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Ford Fusion or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.1/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $8,237, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $8,766 average.
• It emphasizes standout styling and a strong overall package.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced shopping opportunity, the 2016 is the stronger primary target because pricing has eased and inventory is healthy. If your top priority is spending less up front, the 2015 is the better secondary path, especially if you find a clean example with the features you want.
