Nice people. Clean dealership. However, this dealer does not know how to "deal," doesn't seem to understand the local market value of some of its used cars, and doesn't seem to understand the true value of options on its used cars. I felt the dealer wasted my family's time and I want to save someone else the trouble of going through the same thing, so this is a long one..... I was looking for a used 6 or 7 seat Hyundai Santa Fe Limited edition (2013-2015 model year). I'm from the Savannah area and there just aren't enough used Santa Fe Limited (or GLS) models in our area (we have a ton of 5 seat Santa Fe Sports). I was planning to visit family in Atlanta over the weekend, so I decided to check the Atlanta market. I was amazed that the Atlanta market was SATURATED with Santa Fe GLS and Limiteds that were highly competitive in price (many starting at under $20,000). I found a red 2014 Santa Fe Limited AWD on CarGurus at Hennessy Ford that had the main feature I was looking for (a towing package) and some nice extras (AWD, power moonroof, memory seats). However, it had over 50,000 miles and the price was way to high for the local (not "fair") market. I figured that the dealer was just trying to get as much as they could for the SUV, but would be willing to negotiate. Boy was I wrong! I contact the dealer and set up an appointment for first thing Saturday morning. I was honest with the sales person over the phone. I told him that I was not comfortable with the price, that it was a way too high for the local market, and I wanted a warranty because of the high mileage. He said they would be willing to negotiate. Saturday morning rolls around, I get up at 4 am, load my wife and grand daughter in the car and leave for the dealership around 5:30 am. I was already pre-approved for $30,000, plus I had $4000 in savings to put down on the car. I also did my homework on the price of the options. We arrived at the dealership at 9:45 am. I met with the sales person and test drove the car. The rear view mirror was loose and there were some gouges in the rear cargo area, but it was still a solid vehicle. I told him I would be willing to buy it if he was willing to come down drastically on the price and add a warranty. To shorting this already long story, they were not willing to negotiate at all! They even tried to add $400 to the sales price and convince me that the car was worth every penny. They even started quoting new car prices for options (like the moon roof and AWD) on a used car! My wife and I left in disgust. They then called me while we were on the road and tried to convince me again that the vehicle was worth their asking price. I disagreed and politely hung up on them. We found a white 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited FWD (same generation as 2014-2017 models) less than 30 minutes away from Hennessy Ford. It had a power moon roof, GPS navigation, middle row captain chairs, a better interior, a clean Carfax, less miles on it than the one at Hennessy, cost $1700 less (sticker price), and dealer actually knew how to deal! After comparing it with other vehicles in the area (not the Hennessy one) and knowing that it was lacking the towing package and warranty that I wanted, the dealer actually knock another $1000 off the price! The final sales price we agreed to was $20,000. The price with tax, title, and licensing was $22,200 -- $300 less than Hennessy Ford's sticker price and a whopping $2700 less than Hennessy Ford's price with tax, title, and licensing! We put $4000 down on the vehicle, called our bank and had the other $18,200 wired to the dealer, and drove off the lot with our new (used) Santa Fe! BTW, it is only going to cost me $200 to add a towing package. I also purchased a 4 year - 100000 mile extended warranty for it and still saved close to $1000 from Hennessy's (non-) negotiated price. Even though they are nice people, I recommend that you look at other dealers in the area for better pricing. Hennessy seems to think that they can command a premium on their vehicles and wants you to pay new car prices on frivolous options in a used car. I'm glad I decided to do my homework prior to visiting them. It saved me $2700 and I got a better vehicle.

I was very interested in a car at this dealership and was set to buy and had cash in hand. I was flying into Atlanta from Iowa to purchase the car so I was negotiating through emails, texts and the phone. We had haggled on the price back and forth and when I asked about a different price my salesman, Earston acted very reluctant to work on the pricing but he finally did. I was very happy that they worked with me on the price, even though it took several days. The salesman sent me a signed buyers order and I asked if they needed a deposit to hold the car until I could arrive the next day but did not receive and answer. I was in the process of purchasing a plane ticket to fly down and complete the transaction when I received a text saying "Sorry the car just sold" No further contact from anyone after this which was probably a good thing because I was more than a little put out. Needless to say I felt this is poor business since I had asked about putting a deposit down and got no reply. I had a buyers order signed by the dealership representative but apparently that does not mean anything. I made it clear I was paying cash for the car and I was travelling a good distance to buy this car. I have family in the Atlanta area that have dealt with Hennessy Ford before and the dealership came with a good recommendation but my experience has been horrible. I feel very disrespected by the dealership personnel. At least I hadn't paid for my plane ticket yet because that would have been $500 down the drain.

They emailed several times to call them. They called once after the manager emailed me and I replied that no one contacted me. Made half an effort.... Guess they don't want to have to work for their income. I'm by no means going to run into any dealership throwing hundred dollar bills begging for a bad deal. Offer me $7k less than current market asking price and I'm going to assume you have that or more in the one you're trying to sell. You're not a charitable organization, so don't feign offense at the matter, it's business 101 and common sense. (And don't tell me about your "costs" I've seen the books)

At first, the dealer was amazing. Got back to me right after i sent an email. Called me 4 times and emailed me twice about the car so i figured it was ment to be. The day before i planned to go up for the car, i get a call from my sales guy asking me how much i had gotten approved for from my bank. I answered honestly and told him i wanted to haggle on the price as the car was a stick shift that had been on the lot for a while. He asked me if this was my first time buying and repremanded me like a child basically saying i could not haggle on the price and that i couldnt afford the vehicle with taxes added. I also had a trade in he failed to ask about. Lost my buisness due to the disrespect and unwillingness to compromise.

Bogus!!! The car that was advertised had been wrecked and a Salesman denied it but you can see the difference in the paint job not to mention I was told if I came in it would be worth my while to come in financially I get a further break on the price of the car didn't happen

This dealership has long had a good reputation overall, but I'd never dealt with them before my email inquiring about their listing on CarGurus. I've done lots of email inquiries to find a car and never have I experienced an online sales rep like Andrew. He was exceptional in impressive turnaround-time on emails and his professional, complete responses via online communication. Before deciding whether or not to even come for a test drive, I asked for lots of specific info and documentation, including a drive-away offer, and he was so fast and responsive via email that I had all the info I needed within a couple of hours that I was able to test drive and purchase the vehicle that same day. In addition, the whole team who assisted, including the manager, were response and accommodating to my detailed questions/scrutinity of the vehicle without being the least bit frustrated, pushy or intimidating. I was torn between a similar vehicle at another dealer whose sales rep had also provided good service to me, but Andrew and this dealership took it up a notch and won me over.

Sales rep took several days to respond and finally emailed, asking for my phone #, but did not offer price or mileage requested. I then sent an email asking that he please contact me by email only, due to busy job. He then called me back,only to ask when I could come in and test drive the car. I mentioned that he had never answered my inquiry as to the price and mileage on the car. He did not have that info I requested,so I had to wait while he looked it up.only to ultimately learn the car I'd been interested in , had been sold.. Disappointing experience.

Contacted me and said he would send pictures of the vehicle I inquired about on CarGurus. Instead, sent me a list of other vehicles that I didn't inquire about and never sent me info on the one I wanted. Bait and switch.

Poor customer service, sale rep. Anthony misresprent the sale price of car. Try to sell car for 18k instead of CarGurus listed price of 13,500 unacceptable. Will never patronize this establishment again

Responded within minutes of my sending them the 'I'm interested email' from carguru! And when I went to the dealership 2 days later they had all the paperwork ready to go before I got there!

The truck was not for sale currently. It is still in demo status for one of the mgrs. Sales person was very helpful and the Mgr also contacted me via email. Weird that they had it listed but then couldn't sell it.

You should work toward quicker response time. If someone already locking in a deal on a vehicle that someone else is inquiring about, don't hesitate to be honest and let people know. Luckily I was looking at 3 different dealerships, but with your hesitation I could had missed out on a great deal, but I didn't.

The advertised vehicle was not available and still shows on their website. The salesman offered another vehicle that met my criteria. We discussed pricing and terms and he agreed that it was acceptable. When arriving to the dealership the salesman backed out of everything we discussed and our negotiating price was now 3k over. I countered for a less than 1k reduction cash offer and it was refused. Hennessy does not value customers, have no integrity, and completely misrepresent their inventory.

They had the car I wanted but price and miles was to high.I was going to give it one star because of the pressure from the salesman to come out and test drive and negotiate. I'm giving it three star's because another salesman I spoke to informed me of a problem they were having with the vehicle and didn't kno what was causing the problem nor could they fix it. A appreciate his honesty in informing me of the problem and that the car would have to be sold wholesale.

Yes and no about them. There response was great as far as that is concerned. I was very disappointed with the first salesman that I spoke with, before I got any reposes from them, as to who would be contacting me or who I should speak with. He lied several times. First told me the auto had just been on his lot for a week, came in while he was on vacation. Actually, you all showed where it had been on their lot for 87 days!! Second, lie or confusion, I asked if it had any warranty left of it, and he told me no, that all warranties ran out as soon as the new year started, no matter when it was actually purchased an put on the road, etc. We all know that its not like that, if it was purchased in October or November of 2008, there would be 3-4 months left. I just did not feel comfortable talking or working with him. He was not very informed. They did follow up on various emails but it was to late by then, I had already purchased from another agency. Sorry.

I got a great price on the Mustang on the internet but on the paperwork they tried to jack the price up with fees, itching, docs. The usual car dealer junk. No go. Car dealers earn their reputation. If your word is no good, then you are no good.

I called the dealership and got thrown around on the phone, finally I had to request the receptionist get someone on the phone before just transferring me, and it was not the person I asked for. Then the vehicle I was interested in had been sold over a week. They still tried to get me to come in, but I was dissappointed that the vehicle I wanted had been sold. It would have been nice if they took the vehicle off the site when it got sold.
