Used 2016 Chevrolet Corvette for Sale nearMinneapolis, MN

How much does the 2016 Chevrolet Corvette cost?

Prices have softened 4.16% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,059 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2016 Chevrolet Corvette a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 4.94/5 user-rated car with an 8.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its exceptional performance, strong value for money, sleek design, and modern interior features. The overview also makes clear that this is a car for you if you want a dramatic sports car that makes a statement and delivers serious speed when properly equipped.

With 33.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s enough market opportunity to make this a smart shopping target if you’re focused on performance and style.

Is the 2016 Chevrolet Corvette reliable?

Owners rate it 4.94/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels exceptional, value-packed, and appealing enough that many buyers are happy with the ownership experience. The expert summary also emphasizes how special the car feels when properly equipped, which supports the idea that this is a model you can count on to deliver the experience you’re shopping for.

The Corvette’s performance-focused engineering and premium-fuel appetite mean long-term ownership costs can still be meaningful, so you should pay close attention to maintenance history and how the car was used.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Chevrolet Corvette?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every candidate, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a vehicle-specific check. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on wear from spirited driving, signs of neglect, and any evidence of smoke odor or heavy use. Since this car is performance-oriented, condition matters as much as mileage.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT packages build up comfort and convenience, and the base 1LT still delivers the core Corvette experience. The 2LT adds heated and ventilated seats, curb-view cameras, Bose audio, and a heads-up display, while the 3LT adds leather surfaces, Napa leather seating, navigation, and the Performance Data Recorder. If you want the best value, the 2LT is the sweet spot for many shoppers.
• Powertrain: The Corvette uses a 6.2-liter pushrod V8 with 455 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. It can run to 60 mph in under 4 seconds, and the available 7-speed manual or 8-speed automatic both suit the car’s performance mission.
• Safety package: The car comes standard with four airbags, side-impact airbags, a protective cell, four-wheel antilock brakes, automatic seat-belt pretensioners, and electronic stability control. Higher trims add front- and rear-facing cameras to help with parking and backing out.
• Infotainment: Dual 8-inch screens anchor the cabin, and Chevrolet MyLink includes phone, audio, and navigation when equipped. Apple CarPlay is included, Android Auto follows later, and OnStar adds connected features including diagnostics and maintenance notifications.
• Fuel efficiency: The V8 uses cylinder deactivation and a tall 7th gear to help with highway cruising, but it still expects premium fuel and frequent fill-ups.

Which 2016 Chevrolet Corvette trim should I buy?

The 2016 Chevrolet Corvette is offered in 3 trim levels: 1LT, 2LT, 3LT.

Here's the short version:

• 1LT: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the core Corvette formula: the V8, the dramatic styling, and the performance hardware that defines the car. Choose it if you care most about driving experience and want to keep the purchase price lower.
• 2LT: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it adds heated and ventilated seats, curb-view cameras, Bose audio, and a heads-up display. If you want a more livable Corvette without jumping too far up the price ladder, this is the one to target.
• 3LT: This trim adds leather surfaces everywhere, Napa leather seating, navigation, and the Performance Data Recorder. It’s the right pick if you want the most upscale cabin and the most complete feature set.

Higher trims also bring front- and rear-facing cameras, which are especially helpful given the car’s limited visibility.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Chevrolet Corvette?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find opportunities.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,059 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.16% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 76.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $54,086, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Chevrolet Corvette's resale value?

The current average of $54,603 sits slightly below last year's $56,973.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current trend means you should expect pricing pressure unless your car is especially clean, well-optioned, and documented.

Strong owner satisfaction helps support demand, though, and that can cushion resale values over time. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should remain easier to move than neglected cars with unclear histories.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.94/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2016 Chevrolet Corvette safe?

The Chevrolet Corvette has not been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The Corvette comes standard with four airbags, including side-impact airbags and a protective cell, plus four-wheel antilock brakes, automatic seat-belt pretensioners, and electronic stability control. Higher trims add front- and rear-facing cameras to help with parking and backing out.

You should also keep in mind that visibility is limited because of the car’s low stance and small windows, so the camera-equipped trims are easier to live with.

Should I buy a 2016 Chevrolet Corvette or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.94/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The updated interior, strong performance, and broad trim spread make this year especially appealing if you want the Corvette’s modernized cabin and serious speed in one package.

The bottom line: If you want a used Corvette that blends standout performance, a much improved interior, and a market that has softened a bit, the 2016 is a strong choice. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully and look for a clean, well-equipped example near the low end of the range, but the best overall path is to focus on condition, history, and the right trim rather than chasing the absolute cheapest car.
