How much does the 2016 BMW M4 cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 205 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 BMW M4 a good car?

Yes — the 2016 BMW M4 earns a 5/5 user rating, which is a strong sign that owners are very satisfied with it.

Owners consistently praise its sharp handling, powerful performance, and stylish design. The manual transmission option also stands out as a favorite, and the spacious rear hatch plus strong braking capability add to its appeal. For you, that means this model fits especially well if you want a high-performance coupe that still works as a usable daily driver.

With 32.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitively priced example.

Is the 2016 BMW M4 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in the ways enthusiasts care about most, especially with the manual transmission option drawing praise for reliability. The same review summary also highlights strong performance and braking, which suggests the car delivers a consistent ownership experience when it has been well maintained.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the model’s appeal and more about how hard a specific car may have been driven, so maintenance history matters a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 BMW M4?

At 53.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with accident records. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention on the brakes, suspension, steering, and signs of hard use. Because this is a high-performance car, condition matters more than mileage alone, so focus on how well the car has been maintained and whether it shows evidence of track or aggressive driving.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 BMW M4?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 205 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 53.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,660, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 BMW M4's resale value?

The current average of $41,253 sits slightly above last year's $41,162.

That small increase suggests the market has been stable rather than volatile, which is helpful if you plan to sell later. A steady price trend can make it easier to estimate your car’s future value and avoid sharp depreciation surprises. If you keep the car in strong condition and maintain it well, you should be in a better position to preserve value when it’s time to move on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 BMW M4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 53.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction, stable pricing, and enthusiast appeal, the 2016 is the primary year to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than the newest badge alone.
