Is the 2015 Toyota Highlander a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Is the 2015 Toyota Highlander reliable?

The emphasis on comfort and long-term satisfaction suggests this is the kind of SUV you can count on for everyday family use. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about how well a specific example has been maintained over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Toyota Highlander?

At 56% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, signs of past repairs, and whether the cabin and electronics still match the Highlander’s reputation for comfort and practicality.

What is the 2015 Toyota Highlander's resale value?

The current average of $16,582 sits slightly below last year's $17,309.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition so you preserve as much value as possible. A well-kept Highlander should still appeal to shoppers who want a practical, comfortable family SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Toyota Highlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $15,576, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $16,582 average.
• It feels more engaging and youthful than the stereotype suggests.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger overall market position and a well-liked family SUV, the 2015 is the better primary target. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2014 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
