Its flat-4 layout is described as helping keep the center of gravity lower, and the car is positioned as a dependable choice for buyers who value traction and routine commuting over flash.

The available EyeSight package adds adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and pre-collision braking, which supports confidence in daily use. What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Subaru Impreza?

At 55.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and prioritize any listing with incomplete records or visible bodywork differences. A pre-purchase inspection matters here, especially if you want to confirm that the drivetrain, cabin electronics, and safety systems are all functioning as expected. Focus on overall condition, because this model’s value proposition depends heavily on how well it has been kept.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2.0i Premium trim adds Subaru’s EyeSight system, while the Limited trim gets the larger 7-inch touchscreen; the base setup is more basic.
• Powertrain: The Impreza uses a 2.0-liter flat-4 with 148 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque, and the CVT is tuned for mileage rather than excitement.
• Safety package: EyeSight includes adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and pre-collision braking; the rest of the lineup gets 4-wheel antilock disc brakes plus stability and traction control.
• Infotainment: A 6.2-inch touchscreen is standard, a 7-inch touchscreen is available in Limited trims, and a rear backup camera is standard across all models.
• Fuel efficiency: The CVT returns 27/36/31 in city/highway/combined mileage, according to the EPA.

Which 2015 Subaru Impreza trim should I buy?

The 2015 Subaru Impreza is offered in 3 trim levels: 2.0i, 2.0i Premium, 2.0i Limited.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0i: This is the entry point if you want the Impreza’s standard all-wheel-drive setup and the core commuter value without paying for extras.
• 2.0i Premium: This is the best-value trim because it adds EyeSight, bringing adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and pre-collision braking.
• 2.0i Limited: Choose this if you want the more upscale cabin tech, including the available 7-inch touchscreen.

The safety package note to keep in mind is that EyeSight is standard on the 2.0i Premium trim, while the rest of the lineup relies on the standard braking and stability hardware.

Should I buy a 2015 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.11% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It brings a mid-cycle facelift, better interior tech, and improved cabin refinement.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $9,058, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $10,188 average.
• It is an affordable, versatile, and efficient all-wheel-drive compact car.

The bottom line: If you want the better-rounded version of this compact commuter, the 2015 is the stronger pick thanks to its updated cabin, improved tech, and more polished feel. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2014 remains the budget-friendly alternative.
