CarGurus Analysis: 2015 Honda Fit
overall

Summary
With 467 currently listed for sale and an average price of $11,301.00, 30.4% of 2015 Honda Fits for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2015 Honda Fit 4.75 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it an 8.5 / 10.
57.6% of 2015 Fit models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The redesigned 2015 Honda Fit stands out for blending practicality with personality. It is still quirky and remarkably fun to drive, yet it is also better than ever in other respects. That combination gives it a grown-up feel without losing the offbeat character that helps define it.
Honda’s strength with small cars comes through clearly here: the 2015 Fit is presented as fun, affordable, and practical, and it feels more like a reward than a penalty box to own and drive. That makes it appealing to buyers who want an economical car that does not feel dull or purely utilitarian.
Owners also tend to praise the 2015 Honda Fit for its spacious interior, excellent gas mileage, and impressive cargo space. Some, however, find the handling less enjoyable and the engine noise a bit loud, so its strengths are balanced by a few everyday compromises.

Love this car. LOVE THIS CAR. Its small, but not cramped. Cargo space is amazing. So is gas mileage. Just expect to use a windshield screen--the windshield is really sloped and heats up.

I was surprised with all the accessories and features that bring the 2015 Honda Fit. The EX version I got is fully loaded with technology ahead of its time for the model. Not only the design and functionality is super well made, the interface with the multimedia and car features is great. The 6 Speed Manual Is super fun to drive and make it a hot hatch in the city.

Is the 2015 Honda Fit reliable?
Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
User feedback points to a practical, value-oriented car that owners feel good about living with over time, and the expert evaluation adds that Honda’s reputation for making economical, practical small cars carries through here. The cost-effectiveness commentary also says Consumer Reports and J.D. Power expect it to be nearly bulletproof in terms of reliability, and it notes three years and 36,000 miles of free roadside assistance for the 2015 model year. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a neglected example can turn small-car wear-and-tear into bigger repair and comfort headaches.
What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Fit?
At 57.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been in any collision or shows signs of heavy city use. Focus on body condition, interior wear, and whether the car feels as tight and refined as it should on the road. Pay close attention to features that affect daily usability, because this model’s appeal depends heavily on how well it balances practicality with livability.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The EX trim adds a 7-inch touchscreen and HondaLink-based connectivity, while the safety content shows LaneWatch on the EX test car; that means lower trims may leave you with a simpler feature set.
- Powertrain: The Fit uses a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with 130 horsepower, and the manual-transmission setup is described as especially spirited. It also returns strong fuel economy, including 29 mpg city and 37 highway.
- Safety package: LaneWatch appears on the EX test car, and the car also includes a rear-view camera with a 180-degree view. Models with HondaLink add automatic collision notification.
- Infotainment: The EX and EX-L models use a 7-inch touchscreen, and the system supports smartphone-style tapping, pinching, and swiping. HondaLink connectivity works through a wired iPhone connection, and navigation is available as an extra-cost app.
- Fuel efficiency: The test vehicle averaged 34.7 mpg in combined driving, and the official estimate is 32 mpg combined.
Which 2015 Honda Fit trim should I buy?
The 2015 Honda Fit is offered in 2 trim levels: EX and EX-L.
Here's the short version:
- EX: This is the trim most clearly described in the data, and it brings the 7-inch touchscreen, HondaLink connectivity, LaneWatch, and the rear-view camera. If you want the best-value path into the model based on the available information, this is the one to focus on.
- EX-L: The cost-effectiveness content shows this trim can be loaded with features such as leather seats, heated front seats, heated side mirrors, keyless passive entry with push-button start, a power sunroof, HondaLink, and a hard-drive navigation system with HD Radio and satellite radio. Choose this if you want the most equipment and are willing to pay for it.
The safety content notes that LaneWatch is standard on the EX test car, while the rear-view camera is standard across the model.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Fit?
Act selectively, because this is still a seller’s market and the best listings can move quickly.
- Deal availability: 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 459 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices are up 2.87% year-over-year.
- Clean inventory: 57.3% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $10,197.22, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2015 Honda Fit's resale value?
The current average of $11,360 sits slightly above last year's $11,043.
That upward move suggests the market still sees value in this model year, which can help support resale strength if you buy well and keep the car in good condition. The Fit’s combination of practicality, strong fuel economy, and broad owner approval gives it a solid foundation for future demand. If you maintain it carefully and avoid examples with accident history or obvious wear, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2015 Honda Fit safe?
The 2015 Honda Fit earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS and a top five-star protection rating from NHTSA.
It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.
The safety content says the Fit comes standard with a rear-view camera and, on the EX test car, LaneWatch, which uses a right-side camera view displayed on the infotainment screen. HondaLink-equipped models also get automatic collision notification. The main caveat is that IIHS rated the small overlap front crash test as Acceptable rather than Good, so you should keep that limitation in mind when comparing it with other small cars.
Should I buy a 2015 Honda Fit or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 57.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices are up 2.87% year-over-year.
- Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- Honda’s redesign makes this year feel like a more mature, practical, and still fun-to-drive version of the Fit.
The bottom line: The 2015 Fit is the right pick if you want the redesigned model’s stronger blend of practicality, personality, and value. If you are especially price-sensitive, you should still shop the market closely and prioritize the cleanest, best-maintained example you can find, because accident history and condition matter a lot in this segment.
