The 2014 Volkswagen Beetle stands out because it blends retro charm with a more modern, coupe-like shape and a roomier cabin than the earlier “new” Beetle. The Beetle’s strengths are not limited to style. It feels well made and has a premium ambience inside, and the 2011-2019 models are described as well-equipped. At the same time, it is not especially practical, visibility isn’t great, and its reliability record is not a standout. For shoppers who value personality and a distinctive design over maximum utility, the 2014 Volkswagen Beetle offers a compelling balance of charm, equipment, and everyday usability.
