Why it stands out
The 2014 Toyota Highlander has undergone a remarkable transformation from its previous iterations, shedding its "boring" reputation for a more dynamic and stylish appearance. It offers a compelling mix of reliability, comfort, and practicality, successfully combining the utility of a family vehicle with an engaging driving experience. The Highlander is equipped with a capable 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 270 horsepower, paired with a smooth 6-speed automatic transmission, giving it the necessary power for varying driving conditions. Its interior is designed with functionality in mind, featuring a spacious layout with numerous storage options and a user-friendly infotainment system. Safety has not been compromised, with advanced features such as a blind-spot monitoring system and lane-departure warning available, earning it high safety ratings. While some users might find the fuel efficiency lacking compared to newer models, the Highlander's overall package makes it a worthwhile contender in the midsize SUV market.

Overall the experience of driving the vehicle is fantastic. The higher seating above a sedan car makes this a pleasant ride in any weather enabling the driver to see far ahead when driving in heavy traffic. It has enough air bags to float a tank.

Our Limited AWD is a very solid car that we expect to drive for a long time. Very comfortable seats. The space is easily configured for people or cargo. Love the shelf under the dash!

Overall... excellent vehicle. Front row and 2nd row seats adjust to accommodate most drivers/riders. I did alot of shopping around before I made my purchase and what I found is that the Highlander is really the best value for the money. The interior is very nice... not cheap looking as compared to some other mid-size SUVs which were actually more expensive.

The car feels solid, that’s what I was looking for. The downside is that the seats are uncomfortable and the mirrors don’t fold in.
