How much does the 2014 Lexus GX cost?

Prices have softened 2.18% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 321 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2014 Lexus GX a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Lexus GX earns a 5/5 user rating, which is a strong sign that owners are very satisfied with it. Owners consistently praise its outstanding performance, stability, and luxury features, and many also point to the V8 engine and all-wheel drive capability as standout strengths. For you, that means this model makes the most sense if you want a luxury SUV with a rugged personality and a more traditional SUV feel. With 33.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Lexus GX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centered on the GX’s durability and long-term appeal. That kind of reputation matters if you plan to keep the vehicle for years and want something you can count on. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained well and hasn’t accumulated hidden wear from harder use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Lexus GX?

At 51.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from ones with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the SUV has seen off-road use or higher-mileage family duty. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of wear in the cabin and suspension, since those details matter more than cosmetic appeal alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Lexus GX?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 321 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.18% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 51.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,677, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Lexus GX's resale value?

The current average of $20,750 sits slightly below last year's $21,213.

That price movement suggests the GX has softened a bit in the used market, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history than on broad market momentum. If you keep the vehicle clean, documented, and well maintained, you give yourself a better chance of standing out when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Lexus GX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2014 if you want the updated styling and a strong mix of luxury and rugged capability, especially if you can find a clean example with solid maintenance history. If you’re more price-sensitive, it also makes sense to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained listing rather than the newest badge alone.
