Used 2017 Lexus GX for Sale nearNew Orleans, LA

How much does the 2017 Lexus GX cost?

Prices have softened 2.89% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 519 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Lexus GX a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Lexus GX earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction.

Owners consistently praise its luxury feel, off-road capability, spaciousness, comfortable and smooth ride, and reliable, robust nature. The GX’s appeal is especially clear if you want a luxury SUV with real trail credentials and a premium cabin, even though its infotainment system and fuel economy are less impressive.

With 38.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive price if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Lexus GX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights its reliable and robust nature, along with a reputation for durability. That combination matters if you want a used SUV you can count on over time, especially when you’re evaluating an older luxury vehicle.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the GX’s core durability and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t accumulated avoidable wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Lexus GX?

At 58.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership history before you get too far into the process. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the body, frame, and suspension, since condition matters a lot on a rugged SUV that may have seen harder use. It also makes sense to focus on signs of wear in the cabin and electronics, because the model’s age can show up in those areas.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Lexus GX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 519 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.89% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,803, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Lexus GX's resale value?

The current average of $26,395 sits slightly below last year's $27,181.

That price movement suggests the GX has softened a bit in the used market, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper short-term resale gains if you plan to sell soon. Even so, the model’s strong owner satisfaction and durable reputation can help support demand when it’s time to move on. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintenance records organized, you’ll be in a better position to protect value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Lexus GX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.89% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2017 if you want the strongest mix of current pricing, owner satisfaction, and rugged luxury appeal in this range. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2017 gives you a compelling balance of value and confidence when you find a clean, well-kept example.
