How much does the 2014 GMC Yukon XL cost?

Prices have softened 3.80% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 416 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2014 GMC Yukon XL a good car?

The 2014 GMC Yukon XL is a solid fit if you want a big SUV built around space and capability, and its 3.5/5 user rating points to a mixed but workable ownership experience. The model’s strengths are its generous interior room, strong towing-and-hauling roots, and trim range that can suit both practical and more upscale needs. If you need a large vehicle for people and gear, that use-case lines up well with what this SUV was designed to do. The market also shows 29.3% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 GMC Yukon XL reliable?

The 2014 GMC Yukon XL’s truck-based design and straightforward V8 lineup give it a durable, purpose-built character, and its focus on space and capability makes it appealing for buyers who value utility over refinement. The solid rear axle and older-generation layout also reinforce its rugged, traditional approach. For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is mainly about age, wear, and the cost of keeping a large, older SUV in good condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 GMC Yukon XL?

At 52.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks for body repairs, suspension wear, and signs of hard use. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and how the SUV drives under load, since a large truck-based vehicle can hide expensive issues if you only judge it by appearance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 GMC Yukon XL?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 416 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.80% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 52.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,631, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 GMC Yukon XL's resale value?

The current average of $11,497 sits slightly below last year's $11,952.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you keep the SUV in strong condition and buy near the lower end of the range, you give yourself a better chance of protecting value later. For a future seller, the key is to avoid overpaying today, because the recent trend shows the market has already moved down.

Should I buy a 2014 GMC Yukon XL or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.80% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2014 is a sensible choice if you want the classic Yukon XL formula of space, towing-oriented capability, and a lower entry price than newer versions. If you’re more price-sensitive, this year’s softer pricing and deal availability make it worth a close look; if you want a newer-feeling SUV, a later model year may be the better path.
