How much does the 2014 Ford Fusion cost?

Prices have softened 3.30% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 932 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2014 Ford Fusion a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Ford Fusion earns a 4.7/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its sleek design, reliability, high fuel economy, and spaciousness. That lines up with the Fusion’s use case as a midsize sedan that feels more polished and more upscale than many rivals, while still staying value-oriented. The model also benefits from a fresh redesign-era feel, which helps it appeal if you want something modern without paying new-car money.

Only 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is selective even though the model remains broadly appealing.

Is the 2014 Ford Fusion reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to reliability, trouble-free ownership, and a car you can count on over time. The expert drive notes also describe the Fusion as a value that has held its value well overall, which supports the idea that it has a solid reputation for dependable ownership.

The Hybrid’s smoother operation and efficiency-focused setup can help reduce running costs, but used buyers should still watch for wear, maintenance history, and any signs that the car’s tech-heavy equipment has aged poorly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Ford Fusion?

At 55.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has advanced driver-assistance features or higher-mileage hybrid components. Focus on condition first: bodywork, interior wear, brake feel, and whether the electronics and touchscreen systems behave as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Titanium trim adds the most equipment, including active park assist, heated and ventilated front seats, adaptive cruise control, navigation, inflatable rear seatbelts, and the Driver Assistance Package with lane-keep assist and blind-spot alert. The base S trim is the most stripped-down choice, so you should expect fewer convenience and safety extras there.
• Powertrain: The Hybrid pairs a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery, delivering 188 hp through a CVT. It emphasizes efficiency and smooth electric operation more than outright speed.
• Safety package: The Fusion can be equipped with blind-spot alert, lane keep, adaptive cruise control, SOS Post Crash, 911 Assist, inflatable rear seatbelts, traction and stability control, and eight airbags. Some of those features are part of the higher-spec Titanium setup rather than the most basic trim.
• Infotainment: The car offers a touchscreen interface, navigation, and a 12-speaker Sony audio system. The system is feature-rich, but the menus can be complex and the touchscreen can be frustrating to use.
• Fuel efficiency: The Hybrid was rated at 44 mpg city, 41 highway, and 42 combined after the update, with electric-only operation possible up to 85 mph.

Which 2014 Ford Fusion trim should I buy?

The 2014 Ford Fusion is offered in 3 trim levels: S, SE, Titanium.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Fusion lineup and can live without the richer equipment found higher up.
• SE: This is the trim to target if you want the best balance of value and features, since it sits between the stripped-down base model and the fully loaded version.
• Titanium: This is the best choice if you want the most upscale Fusion experience, with the strongest mix of tech, comfort, and driver-assistance equipment.

The safety-package trim note is simple: the most advanced driver-assistance features are concentrated in the higher trims, especially Titanium.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Ford Fusion?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without rushing.

• Deal availability: 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 932 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.30% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $7,570, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Ford Fusion's resale value?

The current average of $7,650 sits slightly below last year's $7,912.

That decline suggests the Fusion is still a value-oriented used buy, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to move the car quickly. The current trend points to a market that rewards clean condition, strong equipment, and well-documented maintenance more than simple age alone.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2014 Ford Fusion safe?

The 2014 Ford Fusion earns Good ratings from IIHS and five-star ratings overall from NHTSA, though it also earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and three-star ratings in front-seat side crash tests.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The Fusion’s safety equipment includes eight airbags, inflatable rear seatbelts, traction and stability control, blind-spot alert, adaptive cruise control, lane keep, SOS Post Crash, and 911 Assist. That’s a strong list for the class, especially if you’re looking for a sedan with a lot of active and passive protection.

The main caveat is that some NHTSA sub-test results are weaker than the overall score, so you should pay close attention to the specific crash-test mix and the exact equipment on the car you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2014 Ford Fusion or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Now 1 year off a 2013 redesign, the Fusion continues to add tech to an already-attractive package.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $8,166, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $7,650 average.
• It looks far from ordinary and feels more distinctive than the typical midsize sedan.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2014 is the smarter starting point because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to spend more for a slightly newer model year and a more distinctive presentation, the 2015 is worth a look.

How does the 2014 Ford Fusion compare to the 2014 Toyota Camry?

Our experts score the 2014 Ford Fusion 7.8/10 and the 2014 Toyota Camry 7.5/10.

The Fusion gives you a lower average used price and a more upscale-feeling design, while the Camry brings stronger fuel economy and a larger pool of listings. If you want the better value and a more stylish sedan, the Fusion has the edge; if you want slightly better efficiency and more inventory to choose from, the Camry is the safer mainstream pick.
