After the great success seen by the Monte Carlo in 1974, Chevrolet decided not to change much in the 1975. Perhaps the biggest change was the introduction of catalytic converters in order to meet new federal standards in fuel economy. The base engine remained a 350-ci V8 rated at 145 horsepower, while optional engines included a 400-ci V8 rated at 175 horsepower and a 454-ci V8 rated at 235 horsepower. 148,529 S Sport Coupes were produced, as well as 110,380 Landau Coupes. The car remains a popular tuner car to this day.

This was one the best cars I ever owned ,great gas milage for a 400, about 24 highway and 14 city, when driving 55, but when you drove 115 (peddle left) if got about 8. Could take city corners at 30 mph.

It was a great first car and had lots of extras for that time period. It could sit 5 comfortable passengers with a large trunk. The engine was easy to work on and lots of room under the dining table size hood.

its a 75 monte carlo whats not to like it is a solid classic but mine definatley needs some tlc. it has a rebuilt 350 engine but i would like to beef it up and the appearance is nothing to brag about but i will get her there one day!
