Overview
In 1968, the angles on the Mustang got softer, but the overall package just got tougher. Other than more powerful engines such as the 428-cubic-inch Cobra Jet V8 in the appropriately named 428 CJ, changes from the 1967 model were few. However, these 335-plus-horsepower engines certainly made a large difference for the Mustang connoisseur.
The 1968 Mustang included a Shelby model and a GT in addition to the base package and 428. The "KR" in the GT500KR stood for "King of the Road," a title the Shelby Mustang arguably holds to this day.

It's a 1968 Mustang Fastback resto-mod. Platinum silver metallic paint with black stripes. Charcoal Wheels along with both shelby scoops. It has '67 hood and front fenders. It has black leather interior (Pony interior). As any review is subjective I'll try to curb my bias. When it comes to performance it will leave you wanting for more in all categories. It is still more exciting to drive than a modern econobox probably due to the sense of raw communication with what is going on around you. It is a semi- reliable vehicle with a slew of aftermarket parts to keep the cost of ownership down. Having a vehicle with a production number just over 4,000 you're almost guaranteed to be the only one around with one.

1968 Mustang GT/California Special. 1 of only 4000 built, only made in 1968, only sold in CA. .030 overbored 302 built to Shelby specs, built C-4 tranny, Shelby fiberglass bady panels. Not the fastest thing on the streets, but since it's rare you hardly ever come across another on the road.
