Sports cars focus heavily on specs and performance numbers, but it sometimes feels like they forget about styling. Lexus took a different approach with the LC, taking the time to build a beautiful car first and a strong performer second. The LC comes with a V8 engine, offers striking styling, and is available with an open-top convertible body style.

What’s New for the 2025 Lexus LC
Lexus debuted the LC almost a decade ago, and it has been on sale without many major changes since. The car received more structural bracing for the 2025 model year, giving it better handling and a smoother ride, and a new Iridium paint color joins the options list. A more significant change arrived the year before, with the introduction of Lexus’ new and much-improved infotainment system.
Design
The LC has Lexus’ signature spindle grille, but it’s otherwise nothing like the automaker’s other vehicles. It features a swept-back shape with a long hood and a cropped rear end, and the car looks great as a convertible, not something commonly said about other vehicles.
Powertrain
The gas-powered LC is one of few cars on sale today with a V8 engine, and it’s a good one. The 5.0-liter mill makes 471 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque, and it produces an intoxicating sound while doing it. Power reaches the rear wheels through a ten-speed automatic transmission, and the combination is good for a mid-four-second 0-60 mph time. The improved chassis bracing for 2025 also gave the car better handling, though it’s clear Lexus focused on a smooth ride quality over all-out agility in the corners.

Interior
Lexus put just as much thought and care into the LC’s interior as it did with the car’s striking bodywork. Leather upholstery with heated and ventilated seats are standard, but Lexus offers semi-aniline leather in more expensive configurations. While the front seats are spacious and luxurious, the back seats are punishingly small and should be used only when carrying an extra person or two is absolutely a requirement.
Technology
The LC comes standard with a 12.3-inch touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Navigation, 12 speakers, SiriusXM radio, HD radio, Bluetooth, and more are also standard. The recent infotainment updates have made the system much less distracting and frustrating to use, and the new interface is much more responsive than previous iterations.
Safety
The LC doesn’t receive standard crash testing like other cars due to its low production and sales numbers, but it does get a long list of standard safety features. They include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warnings, pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, lane departure warnings, automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, and more.

Pricing and Release Date
As of the time of this writing, the 2025 Lexus LC starts at $101,100, and the LC 500 Bespoke costs $104,700. Lexus doesn’t offer many added-cost options for the standard car, but the Bespoke model opens the door to additional wheel, color, and upholstery options.
