What’s New for the 2025 Lexus LC Hybrid
The LC has been on sale more or less unchanged for the better part of a decade, and that isn’t changing for the 2025 model year. It received more robust structural bracing for better handling and a smooth ride quality, and Lexus offers a new Iridium paint color. A more significant change came in 2024, when the car received a new infotainment system with Lexus’ updated interface.
Design
The LC is one of the most dramatically styled vehicles on sale today, and it’s that eye-catching styling that makes it so special. While it sports the traditional Lexus “spindle” grille, the sleek two-door is very much unlike anything else in its lineup. It features a long hood, a swept-back cabin, and large air scoops on both doors, and the car looks great in its available convertible body style.
Powertrain
While the gas-powered LC comes with Lexus’ excellent V8, the hybrid has a 3.5-liter V6 and two electric motors, making a combined 354 horsepower. It’s paired with a continuously variable transmission and a four-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive is standard. The hybrid is significantly less exciting than the gas model, though it still offers decent acceleration, with a 4.7-second 0-60 mph time. That said, the gas model’s 471 horsepower, 4.4-second 0-60 time, and booming sound make a compelling case.
Interior
The LC’s cabin is just as beautifully designed as its exterior. Leather upholstery with heated and ventilated front seats come standard, but more expensive configurations offer semi-aniline leather upholstery. The front seats are wide, nicely padded, and supportive, but the back seats are minuscule and should be reserved as a package shelf for additional storage.
Technology
Lexus equips a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other standard tech includes navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, 12 speakers, SiriusXM radio, HD radio, and Bluetooth. Lexus’ new infotainment system is light years better than the previous version, making it easier to use and less distracting while driving.
Safety
Due to its low relative production volume and sales numbers, the LC doesn’t receive full crash-testing results. That said, it comes with a long list of standard driver-assistance features, including blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warnings, pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, lane departure warnings, automatic high beams, and more. A head-up display system is available.
Pricing and Release Date
As of the time of this writing, the 2025 Lexus LC Hybrid starts at $104,250, and stepping up to the Bespoke model costs $107,450. While the standard car doesn’t offer many options, the Bespoke affords more wheel, color, and interior configuration choices.
