What’s New for the 2025 Audi RS 7
Audi’s sleek RS 7 remains largely unchanged for the 2025 model year, other than the addition of a standard Homelink rearview mirror. The RS7 was updated for the 2024 model year, with a new “Performance” trim.
The RS 7 Performance is the only available trim for Audi’s dynamic Sportback sedan. The RS 7 performance continues to be one of the most powerful Audis available, with improved handling courtesy of sharper steering and a retuned locking rear differential.
Design
Compared to a standard A7, the RS model gets more aggressive styling, with large air intakes in the front fascia for additional cooling. The Performance trim stands out with standard matte gray trim elements and the addition of two exterior colors: Grenadine Red and Ascari Blue metallic.
Standard wheels measure 21 inches, while 22-inch wheels are optional. Wheel finishes vary depending on which exterior package you choose. The Black Optic package is available to darken exterior trim, wheels and mirrors for a more aggressive look. Those looking for sharper carbon accents can choose the Matte Carbon Package, which is also the only way to get the matte black wheels.
Powertrain
The only available powertrain is a twin-turbocharged eight-cylinder engine, producing a monstrous 621 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. Power is routed to all four wheels via Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system, and an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission.
With all this power and traction, the RS 7 Performance accelerates from 0 to 60 miles per hour in only 3.3 seconds. Fuel economy is rated at 17 miles per gallon combined.

Interior
The interior is typical Audi—handsome and well laid out. A black Valcona leather interior is standard, while Cognac upholstery is optional. Three RS Design packages are available in Blue, Red or Gray. This interior package adds contrast stitching with matching seatbelts and an Alcantara steering wheels. No matter what color you choose, sport seats with RS embossing are standard. Going for the Executive Package allows you to option a Valcona/Milano leather interior with individual contour seats, which aren’t as cool as the standard sport seats, but should offer a little more comfort. A Dinamica suede headliner is also optional.
Technology
All RS 7s come standard with the 12.3-inch customizable Audi virtual cockpit. In manual mode, drivers get a new blinking shift light, that changes from green to yellow to red when you approach the redline. You can also switch this display from black to white, a nod to the 1997 S6.
Through the 10.1-inch center infotainment screen, drivers will find wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the 15-speaker SONOS 3D premium sound system is standard for 2025. A $2,000 Technology Package is also available, which adds navigation, a head-up display, and traffic sign recognition.
Safety
A top-view virtual 360 camera system is standard, along with lane departure warning. However, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are optional extras. The $2,000 Driver assistance package is required for those looking for adaptive cruise control with lane guidance and Audi side assist with rear pre-sense. A night vision assistant is also available as an option.
