What’s New for the 2024 MINI Cooper Clubman
The MINI Cooper Clubman is offered in a Final Edition for 2024, to commemorate its final model year. Just 100 examples of this edition are allocated for the United States, available exclusively through preordering. Otherwise, the MINI Cooper Clubman, available in Cooper S and John Cooper Works trims, carries over unchanged.
Design
The MINI Cooper Clubman is available in three trims for 2024, all of which are based on the same design. The Cooper Clubman stretches the basic MINI hardtop into a wagon-like profile, which gives it more interior space with much of the same personality communicated through its extensive color palette, wheel options, graphics, and other customizations. The Clubman Final Edition is available in three colors, with exclusive badging and interior trim.
Powertrain
MINI carries over the Clubman’s two available powertrains for 2024. The Clubman S features a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine rated for 189 horsepower and 189 pound-feet of torque, while the John Cooper Works (JCW) Clubman ALL4 gets a tuned version of that engine rated for 301 hp and 331 lb-ft of torque. The JCW Clubman also upgrades to a performance suspension system and Brembo brakes. All-wheel drive (AWD) is available on the Clubman S and standard on the JCW ALL4. Fuel economy ranges from 25 mpg city and 35 highway with the base Clubman S to 23/31 with the JCW.
Interior
The Cooper Clubman elevates MINI’s typical spartan interior design to something a little more upscale and comfortable, with keyless entry, a panoramic roof, ambient lighting, standard front sport seats, synthetic leather upholstery, and a heated steering wheel. The second row has more room than a typical MINI, but it's still a snug fit for adults. This MINI offers a maximum cargo capacity of 44 cubic feet. Options include heated seats and genuine leather upholstery.
Technology
Every 2024 MINI Cooper Clubman comes standard with a digital instrument cluster and an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that features Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and HD Radio. Android Auto is not available. Wireless device charging is optional. The Cooper Clubman’s tech features have a colorful and distinctive layout, with sport-inspired switchgear and controls.
Safety
Neither the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has evaluated the 2024 MINI Cooper Clubman for crashworthiness. Furthermore, the list of the Clubman’s standard advanced safety features doesn’t quite match rivals’ offerings. Standard safety features include forward collision warning, lane-departure warning, rear parking sensors, and LED headlights.
Pricing and Release Date
The 2024 MINI Cooper Clubman went on sale in fall of 2023, available only in MINI Cooper S ALL4 Clubman trim or MINI Cooper S ALL4 Clubman Final Edition trim. As of this writing, MINI lists pricing for the Cooper S ALL4 Clubman at an MSRP of $36,150 plus a $995 destination charge. The Final Edition, limited to 100 examples, is listed at an MSRP of $46,150.
