Will a tire size of 235/60r 70 on my 1970

The original tires were H78-15 which is roughly equal to a 220/78-15. The size you picked would be a lot shorter and only a bit wider. A 70 series tire would be a better choice in my opinion.

Maybe this will help you choose ---------- http://www.automobile- catalog.com/tire/1970/412400/chevrolet_caprice_custom_sedan_350_v-8_turbo-fire_250- hp_hydra-matic.html
