Did you bench bleed master cylinder? Did fluid run out of ABS pump? If so did you actuate the solenoids in it to push air towards wheels?
How many times did you bleed around? Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 times of doing all 4 wheels especially when the system has been empty
Yeah. I have bled every wheel numerous times... I have fluid all the way thru and its good clean fluid. When my line sprung a leak, by the time i made it home, my reservoir was empty and pedal goes straight to floor.... Now thats normal, but as i began fixi g all the issues, I had to bled everything.... In 30 years of doing brakes, i have never not gotten it back right. I hear it might have something to do with abs system....
Master cylinder bench bled good.... Ive never had to work on an abs issue, so i have no clue as to the rest of your answer. Please enlighten me in lamens terms.
Two ways of doing it. One is with a bidirectional scanner that will let you actuate the ABS pump in order to get the air moving out of the small crevices in the pump. You can also SAFELY if you have some pedal, take the car to a large open area that you will not hit anything and drive fast and slam on the pedal to activate the ABS and in turn push the air downward so you can bleed it out. You will have to bleed it out after either of these methods. You can do this on gravel and it will activate quicker if you are doing the slam method. I experienced what you are dealing with on a Toyota van a few years ago. I had to replace my ABS pump and module and faced this frustrating issue. I ended up buying a bidirectional scanner and also doing the slam method. I went through 5 - 32 oz bottles of brake fluid until I got it firm.
Thats an aweful lot of fluid. Wow..... Is there any way to remove the pump and bench bled it maybe? I thank you for all ur help..... I will let you know how it turns out
Some pumps have a bleeder screw on top (for obvious reasons). See if yours has one. Mine did not. I know Lexus vehicles have one on theirs.
Thank you. I will let u know how it all comes out
