No power at all

The battery got ruined completely so I bought a
new one and when I went to hook it up ut shot
sparks everywhere and almost ruined the terminal

Make 100% sure you connected the battery cables correctly.You'd be surprised how many people reverse polarity the cables.If you're positive they're connected correctly,check every cable/wire coming from the battery/engine fuse panel & the starter cable/wiring and the alternator cable/harnesses for any worn/melted insulation or bare wiring.Any of these that are touching metal will cause a direct short to ground.Another check for a short is to disconnect the neg battery cable,insert a test light between the disconnected battery cable terminal & the neg battery post then see if the light comes on.If the light is brightly lit,a short is present.
