Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 Chevy Malibu. The car starts and runs. But
when I press the gas pedal nothing happens. The car
shifts into all gears, but still nothing. I checked the pedal
fuse on the inside of the car and it's fine. So what would
my next steps be?

Battery has a full charge and connections all good? How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? It appears you have tac/throttle actuator control. I saw a few codes for tac in database. To check codes, at the least, you need a code reader that will work with your vehicle and read manufacturer specific codes as well as po codes. Right now I think something going on with tac system. Just my opinion.
