bad build quality problematic electrics like all French motors I would,nt buy another

could you be more specific? 1st (original) or 2nd generation Scenic (2003 is the year they switched, in Europe), petrol or diesel...? I have a 1st generation 1.9dTi (80hp diesel) with ~160000km now, and no major problems, electrics and all running good. Surprisingly reliable for such a cheap car, and diesels are generally known to be good. Watch for neglected suspension, and worn out/faulty brakes.
