My wifes favorite car to drive. we have the Limited trim package with EyeSight which is Subarus advanced driver safety package; not quite autonomous but pretty close. Has a nice heavy car feel which makes it good for highway driving. My only complaint is that it has limited interior lighting so hard for me to locate buttons,, etc..., when Im driving at night.

I love the Subaru outback. I dont know if it can really compare it to anything else and its class. It tows 2700 lb. No other vehicle will tow that much. It will go off road. No other vehicle in its class will do that as well. If you plan on a vehicle that will be a daily driver get 28 miles to the gallon for me on average and build upon small camping trailer up into the Rocky mountains to go camping and skiing no other vehicle will do what the Subaru outback can do. Im replacing a 2016 Subaru outback. And I looked at several other vehicles in its class like the Mazda CX-5. In a few other vehicles as well the Nissan rogue. They did not tow and I definitely will not go off road like the Subaru outback can.

Just bought a 2018 Outback Touring. It is quiet, smooth ride, the V6 has the power that V4 versions lack, which means I would never buy the smaller engine. Love the larger screen on the navigation system. The safety features actually saved us money on our auto insurance and we are paying less for the 2018 Outback than the 2012 Accord V6 we own. The visibility is another great aspect of the Outback. Getting into and out of the Outback is much easier with its higher clearance. While I have only had it a short time, I have really enjoyed driving it and look forward to learning about all the new features available.

The CVT was never good but with slower Subarus it was a good match to the weak engine. The Wilderness and it’s powerful engine (21 mpg avg. if you’re lucky) are big casualties of the CVT, which is co... Read More
