Focus On Quality — Traded up from Fiesta, more passenger and cargo room. Very good gas mileage with a bit of luxury. It's got a sporty feel to it, love the leather seats and sunroof. Very reliable, the dual-clutch automatic is now under warranty for 7 years or 100,000 miles.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Premium package is a nice luxury touch, includes leather, 6-way power drivers seat, 17" alloy wheels, reverse sensing system w audible distance sensors, rain-sensing windshield wipers, auto-dimming rear view mirror and rear seat armrest w integral box w cup holders.

Cons: Rear seat room is a little tight but typical for the class. There's 90 cu. ft. passenger room with 13 cu. ft. in the trunk.

Great First Car — Not a big fan of the blind spots in the back, or the lack of cargo space. Had great gas mileage, and was reliable in getting around. Not overly costly, but not flashy either. Would make a great car for a small family, or a college student

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: decent gas mileage; easy to load; easy to handle; good for small families;

Cons: Very little cargo space;

Loved The Car, But Transmission Was Problematic — Transmission failure twice in 60K miles. Paid for by ford, with rental so not so bad. Loved all else, except it was noisy on the highway. Probably tires as they still had about 25% wear left at 60K. RF window motor went out. Did not replace due to $300 to do so. I drove mostly freeway so did a lot of miles...overall avg MPG was 35. Performance was great, drove like a sports car. Look at reviews, if transmission gets fixed, great car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Absolutely love the handling, performance, and fuel economy.

Cons: Auto trans out twice for over a week

Loved It. — The car drove very well. Loved the fuel economy! It had a very sharp looking aero dynamic body style. The ride was very pleasant even on less than perfect roadways. Other than being cramped for room with the grandchildren on board and the low ride, I have nothing but good to say about the 2012 Ford Focus.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: This car drives good, handles all road conditions well. The fuel economy was pleasing.

Cons: I was accustomed to driving SUV's prior to purchasing this car, getting out of a car built this close to the ground was a chore at 64 years old. Lol  Interior was small for childern safety seats in the rear and my 6'2" frame in the front.

Great All Around Car! — This car gets excellent fuel economy cruising in the city and on the interstates and highways. It is well styled and has a high quality interior. There were a few hiccups with the dealer and some warranty work early on but it was all taken care of.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great fuel economy with tons of space in the hatch

Cons: Not the most comfortable for people in the back seats but excellent for this size car

Reliable Focus — I love the fuel economy! It's compact size helped me find parking spots at packed events. Very reliable, haven't experienced any problems with the car. It has a good amount of trunk space, also the back seat folds down to offer more space.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great gas mileage. Easy up keep. Still under dealer warranty. Good for families with small children, young adults, or first time drivers. Only two previous owners

Cons: Small, compact car.

Never Thought I Would Like Anything Manufactured By Ford, This Car Changed My Mind — I like the gas mileage this car offers, it has saved our family plenty of money. The handling is precise; I feel safe driving this car during any weather. Safety was the reason we choose this car, it was rated highly. It silenced all worry I had about Ford reliability, I am very glad that I chose this car instead of a foreign one.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Gas mileage, Aesthetics, Dashboard setup

Cons: After 2 kids, back seat stopped being big enough.

Nice Little Car — When I first got this I hated the transmission. It shuttered and the fuel economy wasn't as good as expected. Got a trans seal replaced (under warranty) 3 more MPG and no shutter. It made me rethink this little car. I had put around 40,000 mile on it when I took it in to the dealership and I was considering leaving it and getting a Fusion. I got it back thinking I would give it one more chance. It has totally changed my mind. Trans shifts flawlessly and I get 36 to 37 half highway and half around town. I have truly changed my thinking and would recommend this little sporty looking car. Exception to that is if you have kids. It would be fine if you have little one's but if you have teens or preteens the back seat has no leg room.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Ride's comfortable.  Dependable.  Nice radio.  Stylish

Cons: Back seat is small not much leg room back there.  Transmission at first.

Great Commuter/family Car - As Good Or Better Than The Reviews — i downgraded from a much more expensive diesel-turbo car because of my commute. The car offers quite a few technology features including My Ford Sync. i love the "Alert" option with the satellite radio - tag the artist or song and you will be notified when something is playing. The voice commands work pretty well and if it doesn't understand exactly, it will display a list for you to choose from. i just can't get used to the automatic. other than that, it's a great car and the metallic white adds a nice sparkle!!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Rear seats fold down giving you tons of cargo space.  Cheap to own, Great MPG.

Cons: touch screen shows fingerprints pretty badly.   i don't care for a 4-cyl auto - i prefer a manual transission.
