Great Family Car — Great family car for smaller family. Handles great and has power to go but still an stop on a dime. Great av and heat. Sunroof is very nice along with the sound system. Tons of cargo space for small size suv.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great family car good power great for city driving and handling

Cons: Could have had a third row

Excellent Condition, Excellent Vehicle, At A Better Than Excellent Price. — I really like this car. Haven't found any dislikes yet. Would buy another if I had not already purchased the Escape, and would recommend this vehicle to anyone. It gets 24 - 28 MPG and offers more comfort than any competetive make I am familiar with.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: I also have a 2012 Ford Escape.  The Equinox is quieter, rides better, gets better fuel economy, and is, in general, a better, nicer vehicle to travel in.

Cons: Haven't found any yet except for the fact that the Equinox is depreciated out for the IRS.

Sporty — to many buttons..overall a very nice vehicle...and great in snow...loved the E85 option but not alot of gas stations that offer this in my area :( Tires sensors would kinda be goofy in winter saying tires low...but they werent......overall i loved this vehicle....i do think they are over priced tho if buying a new one

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: RELIABLE and maint. free, smooth ride

Cons: too many sensors

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing

Great Family Car And A Great Value With Efficiency — Nice car for a small family and certainly great for communting, roadtrips and still easy to park. The rearview camera, bluetooth and XM radio add nice creature comforts. Surprising leg room in seats too. 2.4L engine has Eco mode and is quite fuel efficient, but definitely not made to thrill.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Good on gas and very roomy for a small crossover SUV.  Has all the creature comforts and designed with kids and car seats in mind

Cons: Still a small SUV and the 2.4L engine, while capable and efficient does not make the drive exciting

Best Small Suv Value For Your Dollar. — Great size and proportions, have the leather seat option, some of the best you can plant yourself in. On trips we just keep stuffing more stuff. Drove both the V6 & 4. Chose the 187 hp 4 because of it agility & economy, 36 mpg on VA back roads. Have owned plenty of awd/4wd, which I never really had a purpose. Ordered a 2LT FWD, not the LTZ, I do not like a lot of chrome, & wish I could have deleted the roof rack. I am tickled by the amount of heads turned from drivers of those German high priced SUVs. AT (77 mph, keeps me out of the way of those crazies, and below the radar) high speed the gas mileage really suffers, down to 26mpg, and with a full load on those WVA hills, well if you have ever driven them, you know what I am talkin' about.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great size and proportions, have the leather seat option, some of the best you can plant yourself in. On trips we just keep stuffing more stuff. Drove both the V6 & 4. Chose the 187 hp 4 because of it agility & economy. Have owned plenty of awd/4wd, which I never really had a purpose for, ordered a 2LT FWD which has gotten 36 mpg on VA back roads. I am tickled by the amount of heads turned from drivers of those German high priced SUVs.

Cons: The transmission tries to learn your style of driving and often gets it wrong in the city. So I leave the ECO Mode off, so when I roll to a stop, and have to speed up the tranny is not hunting, but makes a strong decision.
