2010 Honda Odyssey Review
rtrtrtr says:
The Odyssey is a very nice van. We liked how it handled better than the Sienna. All of the other features we wanted were better filled by the Sienna. Also, Honda as very proud of their van and was not willing to negotiate on price making the Sienna a much better value.

Love It. — Very good for family trip. Fits up to 8 people plus luggage. Comfortable ride, especially long ride. Entertainment system kept our one year old occupied for 5 hours. Fuel economy. We own that car almost two years, the car was in shop only once because of recall letter. no problem at all.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Very comfortable and reliable car.

Cons: none

It's The Cadillac Of The Minivans (in The Best Sense Of That) —

Very powerful; practically sporty in acceleration and handling compared to Dodges. Very tight and solid at 55k. Not one single mechanical problem, as the 2nd owner since about 20k. The middle row seats are so comfy and wide (though they don't stow, which is probably because Honda realized they can either make them comfy or stow, not both, due to space/weight) that after the first time I rode in the middle row to 'see how the kids live', I dubbed the van the "Hondajet" because they feel like private jet seats look like they feel. A/C is a bit busy to operate. Never figured out how to just set it where it's comfy for me and forget it, though it has Auto settings of temp. Doesn't ride as nice as my well worn 2005 Caravan and the steering is SO responsive on the Odyssey that you don't dare twitch the wheel or someone will spill their fast food off their lap. Fast steering is fine if you are rallying on weekends, but for long trips, that makes it twitchy. Also, the electric assisted steering feels like the ratio varies to me..as if 1/4 turn of the steering wheel equals more change in the angle of the front wheels at some speeds than others and that confuses my brain. I think Dodge's Stow and Go mechanism is slicker than the way the Honda's back seats fold up. The power sliding side doors are much more classy in their movement than the Caravan, but the way you engage them from the outside takes learning the wrist action or you bungle it. A car wash drying gal wrestled with it so much in her ignorance of how to operate it that she would have broken it off if she wasn't only about 70 lbs herself.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Powerful, Nimble. Wife thought she was queen of the mommies driving this instead of the Caravan. Feels so sturdy, like it will last forever. Lots of storage/hiding places. Side power doors are silky smooth.

Cons: Busy a/c and radio controls. Electric steering is too...different. Rides firmer than a minivan should. No power back door. Caravan gets a few more mpg, a noticeable amount more, since the tank on the Honda holds a few gallons less. Power door handle pull to engage the opening motors requires learning the right yanking wrist action to not look clumsy.

Great Large Family Hauler — Very reliable (at least thus far going on 50,000 miles) and roomy enough to haul my family of 6 around. It seems this was built more for functionality and reliability than style, but good enough for us. We would recommend an Odyssey.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great large family hauler, comfortable, engine has good power and provides decent gas mileage

Cons: Not overly stylish inside or out

2010 Honda Odyssey Ex-l Res — Like everything!! For any one looking at an SUV, save money on gas and these options are so much more advantageous! Power doors save you from having "load and unload" kids, groceries and everything else. It is a true back saver!

Great Family Car! — I love this car. We've never had any problems with it. Runs great. Spacious and comfortable. It's convenient for shuttling kids around and commuting with large groups. The 3rd row is easy to fold up and down, providing quick options for seating and/or transporting large objects.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great family car.  Very comfortable for up to 8 passengers and luggage. Easy to configure seating.  Spacious and smooth.

Cons: Not exactly as cool as a Porsche

Great For What It Is, Actually Super Awesome For What It Is — a little pricey but you definetly get a solid vehicle for the price and it is worth it Make fun of minivans and the people who drive them, but for kids and moving stuff they are absolutely awesome!! Great minivan.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: cargo capacity and keeping kids and parents happy

Cons: it's a minivan
