It Does What It's Suppose To Do — It Does what it says it does, and all the tech gagets make it cool... I don't really like the look esp the liftback and the chrome tail lights. But it is the best MPG around! Cost of Ownership is what it's all about at this point. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: MPG, Fuel Efficiency, L/100, Cons: No guts no glory, and you look like your Crunchy Granola type people! |

My Prius — The Prius is great for what it is- a hybrid. I needed a car that got good gas mileage when I was driving 200 miles per day. I tend to average around 45 mpg. The acceleration is a bit slow but I have an IS F for that. The main thing is this car can go twice the distance of my 4runner approx. 500 miles on less than half the tank 10 gallons vs 23 gallons for the 4runner. If I don't have need for this car in the next 60 days I will be getting rid of it though. Pros: Gas mileage and technology Cons: Acceleration but it is to be expected. |

2009 Toyota Prius FWD Review
oseanavinlano says:
The car overall is better than I expected for a hybrid to be honest. The front seats are fairly comfortable, the power is actually decent for the gas mileage you can obtain, and the handling is not bad. The back seats were mediocre, and the trunk space was disappointing. I personally find the Prius to be an ugly vehicle. I would enjoy the great gas mileage but I would not enjoy replacing the hybrid battery or any other components of the hybrid engine once maintenance starts kicking in (100K+ miles). vs2009 Honda Fit Sport
2009 Toyota Prius FWD winning categories:
Back Seats
Ranked 2009 Honda Fit Sport better.
"The back seats are more spacious, although it is a close call."
Value
Ranked 2009 Honda Fit Sport better.
"The Honda Fit is much more affordable to begin with and holds it value well while having very low maintenance costs. Even though it is lower on power and fuel economy the prior listed benefits cause it to outweigh the Prius in value over time." |

Marion says:
The Prius has been the safest most reliable and economical car to use and maintain, among the 35 cars I have ever owned. It is also as roomy as a Crown Victoria seating wise. It is also very versatile and can accommodate being used as a 5 seater,or a station wagon. vs2009 Acura TL
