Awd Bliss — I love the AWD platform and wish all of my cars had this. Being AWD does come with slightly reduced fuel mileage (I average 25.5mpg), but compared to other cars in it's class, the difference is minimal and extra costs are worth it in snowy areas. The seats are rather firm and the material seems to stain rather easily. Seat pads and covers provide a cheap and easy fix for this. Maintenance is not terrible since it will run off of standard oil, but other repairs can be costly, and Subaru dealers are not quite as common as many other makes. There is ample room in the trunk, and the passenger compartment has plenty of room for most average-sized people. The headlights are very bright and the high-beams are quite remarkable. The Harman Kardon audio system is also a perfect touch, well balanced, sufficiently powerful, and easy to operate. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Symmetrical AWD, 17" Wheels, Harman Kardon audio system, 8-way Power Driver Seat, Sun/Moon roof, Trunk Space, Auxiliary Audio Port Cons: Firm Seats, Cloth Stains Easily ![]() Looking for a Used Legacy in your area?CarGurus has 4,427 nationwide Legacy listings starting at $2,000. |

Safety And Elegance For All! — This car handles beautifully! From the first time you drive it, you feel as if you're glued to the road! Anyone who has a long commute or just wants to feel safer on the road should definitely look into the Subaru Legacy. It's roomy and comfortable for the whole family with amazing trunk space. It picks up and goes like nobody's business! It the sportscar for the ready to settle down crowd! Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: This all wheel drive car is great in the snow and ice! It has tons of room inside with a huge trunk! It's reliable and handles like a champ! Cons: The only con to owning this car is that maintenance costs can be higher than other vehicles. Keeping up with all wheel tires is also a larger cost, but overall, the investment pays out!! |

Black ext. with black int. excellent way to go. Looks really cool Cons: Only one cup holder that i could fine |

I Love Every Bit Of It, Though I Don't Know If It's For Most. — Performance is great - the car handles like a cat, and makes it extremely fun to drive. It might be a little down on power, but if that was going to be an issue, you probably should go for one of the 3.0 liter ones anyway. Build is good - no issues - but I guess I haven't put that many miles on it myself. I bought this car because it was THE ONLY decent looking car at this price with any sense of performance. No maintenance issues yet, gas mileage is low (I've averaged near 29, the factory listing is for 24ish) but that's a side effect of the AWD. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: You want AWD in an attractive package at a good price point Cons: You need top-marker fuel economy, curvier styling interests you, you need a lot of horsepower |

Good Car, Good Gas Mileage, Good Handling But I Wish It Was A Gt. — Great car, lovely interior, and decent acceleration for a 4 cyl. Its sort of sluggish off the line if you really don't punch it, and the car sounds great when you're 4000 and higher in the RPM range. Revving to 8000 easily, but I really don't recommend it because it drinks some fuel when that happens due to it not being a performance engine. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Looks beastly Cons: Wish it was a GT |

Much Better Than Its Replacement, Albeit Smaller. Buy One - Big Grin On Face. — The Volvo 850 T5 of this decade. Looks like a family estate car, although the front splitter and baked-bean can exhausts give the game away to a (slightly) trained eye - no big badges on the back to give the game away. Typical dull, Japanese, interior with column sticks that perform a hundred functions each. However, screwed together superbly, nice leather and quite possibly the best touch-screen sat-nav/control system to come as standard (beats the BMW 7-series by a mile). The sound of the naturally aspirated 3-litre boxer-6 is somewhat disappointingly muted, but this is a car for someone who'd like an Imprezza but can't put up with the ride quality, the noise or the general shock to the body that leaves you unable to do anything for about 15 minutes after you've got out of one. Euro-specification 3.0R spec B (mine), has custom Bilstein magnesium suspension to reduce unsprung weight. Works brilliantly. Wish they'd fitted the USA spec. sound system though! Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Bonkers 4x4 performance, slightly left-field cool quality, rarer than an a DB9. Massive discounts available on pre-registered cars still in stock. Cons: Road tax (same as a petrol Range Rover), fuel consumption (29 mpg is the best I have ever got from it), awful, awful sound system. Small boot (compared to others in class) will not suit large families. |

As I Said We Are Shopping For A Second One Now. — First time Subaru owner and boy do i love this car. just sitting in it you feel it wrap around you as some european sport cars do. I had to get used to the quick acceleration from a stop as this car seems to want to open up right from the start. the handling is beyond any car I've ever owned and the speed sensitive steering allows just the slight tug on a freeway to change lanes. the sport shift is very convenient for passing as well. I'm not kidding when I say that I love this car so much I'm buying a second one right now! I love the body style of the 2009 (not hip on the new 2010/2011 body style). this car gets so many compliments as it easily looks as aggressive and stylish as a BMW 3 series. the stereo is like sitting in a concert hall and there is little road noise when driving. I have the Newport Blue with Cream interior and love it. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: acceleration, handling, fuel mileage Cons: Have to fight my wife for a chance to drive it :) |

Good Looks, Fun To Drive, Good Value — I have been pleasantly surprised, the Legacy is a fun to drive, nice handling auto. The brakes are great and the seats are comfortable and fit me like a glove. It could use a little more power, but it is by no means anemic. The styling grows on me more each day, I like the looks. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: all wheel drive, fun to drive, and comfortable Cons: could use about 20 more horsepower |

Adriana — It's a Subaru it has the traditional Subaru boxter engine smooth gearbox nice firm clutch and handles well also because Subaru's traditional symetrical all wheel drive system. It hasn't needed any repairs and it looks beautiful inside and out! Gas mileage is good depending on how you drive it and the fun factor is a five star rating! Pros: It's shape Cons: Right above the gear leaver under the radio the plastic doesn't meet perfectly even |
