Go For It! — One of the best cars in the range. Nice build quality and smooth performance and acceleration. Fuel consumption is slightly high as compared to Camry. Body elevation is low. Car interior and exterior are wonderful. Definitely it is fun to drive!

Pros: Great pleasureful driving!

Cons: Side view mirrors

My Altima — Strangley the 4 cylinder moves very well. Ability to pass is excellent and the gas mileage is great. So far I'll getting approx 7.5 litres/100 km or nearly 35 mpg on the highway - 120km/hr. It corners more like a sports car than a family sedan. There is lot's of room

Pros: cornering, gas milage, quiet

Cons: none yet

Altima — The car is decent. Nissan seems to really push the maint packages and they aren't cheep. The best thing about the car is the trunk space. Interior is small. There is no room for more than 2 kids in this car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Gas mileage

Cons: Small interior, ice/snow traction is very poor.

2009 Altima Sedan 2.5s — Lot's of room both in the front seats and the back seats. It's quiet and it seems to be quick enough for anything that I might need. It comes off the ramps just like it should. I love the CVT. Seems to get great gas mileage. Some new info - 95,000 km - installing a new transmission next week. This seems a little bizare - covered by warranty which I undertand has been increased to 200,000 km or 10 years whichever comes first.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Looks, room, economy

Cons: nothing

Just bought this vehicle with 130,000 miles and it handles like a new car. Comfortable for a big person and very stylish, especially if you are lucky enough to have extras like Bluetooth, navigation, keyless entry and heated seats. I especially like the rear camera and did not know that a 2009 would potentially have all this stuff.

says:
The CVT transmission is the cars best and worst feature. There is no drain plug on the CVT catch pan, so doing a drain/fill maintenance means dropping the entire pan (16 bolts)!! Its messy, time-consuming, and a real PITA. Terrible design. On the plus side, the CVT maximizes engine output by eliminating the shift points which normally occur in a typical A/T. The engine-braking saves the brakes. 85k miles and still on the factory pads/rotors.
