Adhjkl — kinda fast. sits too high, needs to be lowered. gas mileage is good if you dont drive like me. only paid 16k brand new. takes corners like a badass. strut tower bar would help. dont get a 2.0, theyre too doggy and no one likes a 4b11.lol 2.4 or higher. exhaust is a must. enigine runs loud.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: fast. rally car. jdm the hell out of it.

Cons: if youre an idiot

It's A Mitsubishi :] — •Performance - excellent very fuel effiencent as well, cvt transmission/sport shift •Build Quality - excellent condition very well built already been in 2 minor accidents where the other car was damaged and dented and nothing was done to the lancer •Appearance - aside from the back of the car being somewhat plain the front is amazing i love it and the interior with the media center is very perfect couldnt ask for more if i wanted to •Cost of Ownership - once again great gas mileage and runs well so low maintenance is required but a car wash every so often and an oil change wouldnt hurt •Fun Factor - extremelyy fun if you want something sporty but entertaining in music and media this car is greatt has rockford fosgate speakers and extreme bass

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: sporty, fun and has every luxury you can imagine in a car worth every penny

Cons: DVD player doesnt work while driving, need to unlock that

Great Car, If You Owned The Older Lancer Definately Upgrade To This One. — I owned a 2003 lancer ES and was satisfied with that car. I had to replace it though, trans. went out. So i test drove the DE version of the new one and loved it. I bought the 5 speed manual. I wanted a car that i could mod. so i bought the bone stock. No a/c or anything. The only thing i have is the Keyless Entry. It has way more power than the older lancer (120bhp). The new lancers with the 2.0 engines have 152bhp. Handling is great for an economy class car, and it looks great, the sound system is the best for it's class i would say (MP3 ready radio, tells you the name of the songs your listening to) Great gas mileage (EPA messed up on it),I get 26.4 city 37.2 hwy. (If you get manual and drive it the right way it will get great gas mileage). Just a warning if you drive this car hard it will get awful gas mileage, I got 9.7 city. Overall great improvement from older model. MUST BUY. P.S. car looks cool, head turner. I always get complemented.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great preformance, handling, great sound system (will surprise), Great lookes, Big trunk space

Cons: A bit noisy when on the highway,

Awsome! — The car is gr8 the only problem is that there is no products for it in sweden or in the EU. With its smal amount of HP its quite brisk. And its a very good looking car i must add.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Fun, super good handling.

Cons: The engine could have a bit more Power.

Awesome — everything is fun to me just with the original model fun to drive and still kinda quick for just a lancer. i cant wait to get a trade in for the evo mr cause thats where i want to be when the time comes. but its still nice to drive and gets me where i need to be.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: its a Lancer haha

Cons: nothing really  unless you look at the performance compared to the Evo MR but its still nice.

Mitsubishi — 1300CC... stock Mitsubishi Lancer GL (Rental). It's a city car, not advisable for highways, it consumes alot of petrol if you're cruising above 120 Km/h. Smooth gear shifting thanks to the new CVT engine/transmissiion. Looks better than before though

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Smooth gears

Cons: No power

09 Lancer Ready To Rock — Driving a manual transmission. Great structure, great control, excellent handling and performance. The most unfortunate thing about this vehicle is that it is a theft magnet. People see it and are immediately attracted to it! It's ridiculously fun to drive!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Just ridiculous to drive and enjoy

Cons: Cheap ass paint, couple of recalls

Buy It For The Warrenty And Abuse It. —

I have an 09 LANCE SE. This car is either overly dumbed down to further separate it from its big brother the EVO or its the most poorly programmed vehicle I've ever driven. The warning messages on this car are inappropriate and worse yet, distracting. Take the "possible icy roads" warning for example. It kicks in at around 3-4 degrees Celsius (outside temp) and lower. Ok, a neat gimmick perhaps. Except that I live in Canada where the temp often reaches well into the minus 30-40 degree celcius range, and we drive on ice for half the year! Worse yet, it randomly fires off while driving, flashing a message and chiming an alert, forcing me to take my eyes off the road to see if there is actually a warning I need to know about. The "remove key from ignition" warning, seems a little too aggressive, firing off the second i put the key into the ignition, or the moment the engine is turned off...Since the key is unusually difficult to insert (flat ignition plate as opposed to the usual guiding sloped to hole) I'm pretty sure I know the key is in the ignition and that I meant it to be there! I also have (for my wife) an 04 Hyundai Elantra. I mention this as a comparison for my next point. Both vehicles offer an automatic "lights off" feature. The Hyundai however goes about its business quietly and without fuss...The Lancer throws an electronic fit and insists I turn off the lights...why?!? There are other programming issues with this car as well, simple, more importantly cheap (free?) fixes that would greatly improve the overall driving experience! Speaking of driving, the chassis is wonderfully stiff and light, and the only reason I gave this cars two stars at all. (Ok, lots of room in this segment and styling is pretty good too.) But is has the worst engine noise ever. All valve-train. It shares the same engine block as the Hyundai Elantra (but with new head/valve-train). The turd-bo, excuse me turbo kicks in 600 rpm too high at least. I realize this helps with the fuel economy ratings, but it is such an aggressively styled car its appeal is largely to those who are likely to drive it as such. Road noise is appalling in an otherwise quiet car. Whats with the fit and finish of the dash plastic?!?! One last point, that has to be the worst manual transmission I have ever used! it feels like it came out of a farm tractor. It is both notchy and rubbery at the same time. The 30 year old fiat I own has a failing, abused stick with the same number of gears, and still its much the better unit! The reason for buying a car like this is pretty basic. If you choose to finance a new car for 5 years, it had better have a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty. That way you don't get stuck paying for a car you cant afford to fix. In Canada that leaves you with only 2 options the Mitsubishi or the Hyundai. The Mitsu has a powertrain warranty after that, most impressive indeed. At least when compared to the competition.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: style and chassis

Cons: everything else...poorly thought out computer programming, dash fit, engine noise, road noise etc.

Well Experiances Driver! Does About 500 Miles A Month If Not More. — For the most part there have not been any problems with the car. Only with a few dealers as far as matainence and accessories, especially Wantagh Mitsubishi! However the car drives great. Unfortunatly, you really need the all wheel drive. It tends to do a little dancing on big flows of water and it will get stuck in the snow and ice. Other than that it is excellent. Does amazing on gas, but you will spend money because it is very fun to drive. It is also easy to learn how to drive stick on.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Price, Features, Appearance

Cons: Light weight materials for body and bumper
