"if I Give This Car A Rope It Will Probably Climb A Tree", Another Subaru Owner Quoted Me! — It's been a while since I had my Outback and this is my third review, I have since added a set of General Altimax Artic winter tires with its own dedicated set of rims, this was a wise decision; for the past two years we have been getting more snow here in Connecticut than other years. All season tires have its limitations and the snow tires made a huge difference in climbing hills and curvy back roads. Case and point you don't use sneakers when there's snow in the ground you wear snow boots or other type to keep youreself from slipping and falling flat on your back, sliding in the snow and crashing is not a good choice after all your vehicle is a huge investment and it has to bring you from "point A to point B" safely. And it's fun to drive when you are in control...

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Haven't failed me yet on any weather. Solid car and looks great.

Cons: Not a gas miser.

2008 Subaru Outback 2.5 Ltd — This is my 6th Subaru, 2nd Outback. Just got this a year old with 13,500 miles on it. It's the top of the line with every option available, rides great! I don't like the 2010 model at all. More like the Forester. Too much like an SUV. The sticker says 20 city / 26 hwy. I have been getting 29.4 to 30.3 / hwy, and about 22 / city!!!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing

2008 Subaru Outback 3.0 R L.L. Bean Edition Review
Martin says:
Great handling car. Smooth on the highways and great on a winding road. When sport sharp is selected the car has excellent acceleration easily surpassing the performance tests that the car magazines give it. The car seems to become faster after 30,000 miles. I actually clocked a 6.1 zero to sixty MPH acceleration on a flat even non- hill road with 89,000 miles on the car. When in intelligent mode the car rides very smooth and is perfect on the highway for long trips. The interior is very comfortable and quiet. A nice stereo system complements the ride and with the comfort this car provides it is easy to carry-on a good conversation on road trips. Great on and off road and excellent in the snow. The only downfall is the gas mileage but with the power plant this car has the fuel mileage can be raised by just hardly touching the pedal. Even though I find sports car performance driving the L.L. Bean there is no reason to drive it like one. This car is designed to surpass 300,000 miles and the best way to do that is to be gentle with her even though she can take it.
