What A Friggin' Blast — What else to say except it's a subaru, it's fast and it's sexy lookin'. Good gas mileage if i want, mustang destroying power if i want, and the best part of it is that she looks like a nice plain family sedan. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: It's a subaru Cons: don't ![]() Looking for a Used Legacy in your area?CarGurus has 4,241 nationwide Legacy listings starting at $2,399. |

Favorite Car I Have Ever Owned Or Driven — I love the overall performance of my car, it handles any weather you throw at it and is fun to drive when it is a beautiful day outside. Not only can it easily get through snow and ice but on a clear day on a windy road it is one hell of a sports sedan and a hell of a lot of fun. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Fun, exciting, responsive Cons: None |

Just Buy One — The Legacy is pretty fun to drive at high speeds, knowing you have control with it's Symmetrical AWD system. I don't have the GT, although I'd like to, but the 2.5i NA is still a fantastic car overall. Let's just say it takes a beating and can show you a good time. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Safety, low insurance cost, appearance. Cons: Tires, lack of extended warranty, fuel economy. |

Overall The Best Car I've Ever Owned — it drives like it's on rails and it has exceptionally high quality. great performance for a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder. it is a very cheap to run seeing as how Subaru's reliability ratings are in the same realm as toyota. overall it's just a great car - tons of standard options and it's one of the few cars i've ever had that i genuinely enjoy driving every day Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: winding roads + this car = fun Cons: the shifter leaves something to be desired |

Fast Sedan With Street Cred And The Safety To Match — Great family sedan for the price. It's fast and comfortable. It also has the street cred that camry's and accord's don't. It's a great fun car to drive, though fuel economy suffers greatly with a heavy foot. The si-drive with 3 settings is good. "i" is very slow and non responsive, sports is much sharper while sports # holds the gears longer. Build quality is ok, you can see some cheap plastics but overall it looks pretty good. The macintosh sound system is crisp and sharp but isn't that loud, but should cater for most. The car does get very hot running and may need to cool down after hard driving. Modification of the car is easy and relatively cheap and easy, resulting in much greater performance and handling. The brakes are quite weak and people wanting to track or drive their cars hard may want to upgrade to a big brake kit (bbk). I did and it was the best investment for safety on the roads. The car has a 5 star ncaap euro rating so has airbags galore. The 4wd will increase your grip levels and this car handles well in the dry and amazingly in the wet. Overall a fun car to go for a zippy drive in but also sensible to own with a family. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: power, equipment levels Cons: fuel economy, some cheap plastics. |

If You Want Luxury Combined With The Performace Of A Sports Sedan This Is A Great Package. — Beautifully built car with all the features of luxury and performance excitement. Turbo in play with the manual transmission and AWD make this car nothing less than a blast to drive. Only negatives are a small backseat and fog lights that are subject to easy breakage due to low ground clearance. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Performance Cons: Possibly price depending on your deal. |

Economical (2.0 Diesel) All Wheel Drive Evryday Car. Literally Evryday, No Matter Rain Or Snow :) — This one has the 2-liter Boxer Diesel, wich has very good performance for a 2-liter diesel car. Ride is good, rear suspension bit too soft for carrying heavier loads. Quite fun car to drive, and economical too. Styling is bang on, i like it very much. Interior is stylish and simple at the same time, evrything is where it should be. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Good fuel economy, all wheel drive, comfortable, quiet. Cons: Soft rear suspension, no power on low revs( <1400). |

New Car Has Alot To Live Up To! — Subaru Legacy 2.0 Diesel, fantastic car. 0-60mph 8.3 secs yet still 55mpg is achievable, 150bhp, 260lb/ft of torque @ 1,800rpm. I've done 60,000 km in its first year and is just such a good all rounder. An amazingly sure footed chassis that really inspires you to push on when the road gets twisty. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) Pros: Value, Kit, Performance and Economy Cons: Residuals, Dated interior, Saloon not the most practical. |

This Is A Great Buy If You're Looking For Some Performance, Luxury And Awd Wrapped Up In One Package — The performance of this car off the lot is decent: it handles well despite the body roll, it accelerates great for the power it has, and the braking isn't the greatest from high speed. The build quality is pretty good with the only qualm I have being the glove box squeaks every so often. The Appearance of the car is stunning, I love it. The cost of ownership as far as maintenance goes is relatively inexpensive, with gas prices climbing premium can get expensive if you romp on it all the time. However you can buy an Accessport and flash the ECU with maps that will support E85 and gas expenses go down dramatically. This is one of the most fun cars I've ever had the chance to drive/own before and ESPECIALLY after I've started modding it! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: This car is a blast to drive and with a few mods will blow the doors off almost anything you see on the road! Cons: If you don't want AWD and some luxury, this isn't the car for you. |
