Awesome — I love this car. I wish I had been the one to pick the options. Otherwise it's great. It handles great. It accelerates better than cars costing tens of thousands more. And it handles like it's on rails. The build quality is typical Japanese. That us top notch.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Acceleration, handling, and functionality with the hatchback

Cons: I didn't get to pick the options.

Speed And Control — Its a 2010, great handling STI. It has the performance of my 2006, with smoother handling and great acceleration. The interior is great, the styling is way better in person than in pictures. My 3rd STI and my best so far..Subaru keeps up the great work..

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Handling, Power and comfort

    Cons: Nothing

2008 Subaru Wrx (base) — I am rating a 2008 Impreza WRX base....*NOT* the STi model (there was no WRX category).. The 2008 model is ugly. Subaru took a great thing (-2007 models) and transformed it into a tame-looking Mazda 3 hatchback-wannabe. The sedan looks even worse. As far as the driving experience, the WRX is a quick little car, and the 4-cylinder turbo intercooled engine provides great torque at the low-mid end of the power band, but turbo lag (and drivetrain drag) get annoying....fast. The clutch feels too light for a turbocharged AWD car. All-wheel drive is great....if you live in the snowbelt and need the traction, but is overkill for even the most agressive dry-road driving. The symmetrical AWD (like a Jeep in 4H all the time), provides (more or less) even power to all 4 wheels, but kills fuel economy (18 MPG average), and makes a lot of drivetrain noise / whine. Seats are very supportive, and controls are well-laid out; but the stereo is cheap, there's no sunroof on WRX base models, only a 5-speed manual transmission is avilable (non-STi), there's no push-to-start feature, and no turbo gauge.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: acceleration, reliability

Cons: fuel economy, appearance, turbo lag

2008 Sti — I love the car. The utility of haing a hatch is a must for our family. I bought this after owning a 04 Subaru Forester XT 5 speed manual. The Forester was a great car, but I longed for more performance and handling capabilities. The 2008 STI was the first year of the STI that only comes as a hatchback. I suspect the main reasoning behind going to the hatchback style was to build a rigid WRC rally car. In the past few years all of the top finishers in the WRC were hatchback based (just my opionon).

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Turbo power.Strong 6 speed. and a driver controlled center differential and a on the fly 3 position Map settings

Cons: Stock maps are not like the older STI's

My Favorite Year For This Car Was 06-07, I Just Find It Looks Just A Touch To Much Like A Legacy — Love this car, I'm pretty sure everyone would love to have one. The power behind it is amazing 305 HP. Build Quality is there and you can fell it. Appearance is my only problem, don't get me wrong this car is amazing but i find these new models look like a Legacy. Cost for owning it is very low it's a Subaru. Car, from what I hear is amazing to drive! Any Subaru is amazing to drive!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Everything

Best Rallying Car Ever — Most Amazing car i've had, the launch control is to die for take the cat off, and put a flat back exhaust on and its awesome, the car is so fun to drive, the anti lag stops the turbo from lagging sounds amazing, also the best thing about it is, the back firing around all the rally stages this car, is amazing in Walters arena and Myherin!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Rally

    Cons: None!

2008 Impreza Sti Hatchback — Very Good replacement of my last STi , better all round if that was possible , 2.5 ltr engine 300 bhp : ) better interior, smoother ride , not many about ! Cost lol more than last one ! better mpg slightly more than 20 mpg lol ; ) needs lowered though and stiffened up a bit as leans quite alot on corners ! Soon get used to that though Si system good ( 3 ecu settings) intelligent , sport , sport #

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Everything

Cons: Still attracts Golf TDi s which think there fast !

I Couldn't Spin If I Wanted Too... — Performance is great for the value. Build quality could be alot better, but miles ahead of its competitor. Appearance wise, the car imo is gorgeous. I love the lines and wide body design. This car isn't that expensive to own, unless you have a heavy foot then gas is $$. As far as fun factor, its a blast to drive....but no where near as much fun as my Honda that makes half the torque.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Increadible amounts of grip

Cons: Very noisy, lacking build quality

One Fast Sti — This is my ultimate street car, the capability and durability to sustain the daily abuse of street driving but still able to compete and do well on the car. Its definitely the perfect combination of beauty and brawn. I love this car.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: the drivability

    Cons: the brakes
