Pontiac G5 — when i bought the car, it had only 100 km on it so it was still brand new, its not as powerful as the ss, but it still has a kick to it, 2.0L 4 cylinder, 148hp, i had an automatic but i wished i had the standard, interior was really clean and the sound was great!!, i got up to 600km per tank of gas and it cost me only 50.00 to fill and gas is up to 139.9!!!!, i recommend you buy one, they wont dissapoint you!

Pros: good power, great fuel economy, sporty and good sound!

Cons: none in my opinion

Exactly What I Wanted. — It's sporty and easy to control. Excellent for new drivers. I love the fact the gear shift is in the floor.

Pros: It has an iPod jack, spoiler, and gets over 30 mpg.

Cons: It's a four cylinder, so it doesn't do very well uphill.

Pros: great acceleration, excellent fuel economy, stabili-track, side curtain air bags, factory installed pioneer speakers with sub.

Cons: no interior lights in the back seat

A Weak Attempt At The Compact Market By Gm. — I had a week to spend with a G5 Coupe as a rental car. It was a brand new car. I hated almost everything about it. First of all, the ecotec engine is a rattletrap, although provides decent economy, but is lower on power than I'd like. I can't believe how noisy it is, though. The interior is extremely uncomfortable, and I'd say, although stylish, is not well appointed, with the seats not providing very good support, and most controls in unusual locations. Handling and braking are poor to say the least, as is acceleration. The chassis of the vehicle and suspension system is archaic compared to even the now defunct second generation Neon/SX2.0 or the Ford Focus. The point of the G5 is that it is cheap to maintain, drive, and operate, and easy for an entry level owner. But quite frankly, I'd rather take the $15,000 sticker price and buy a used Infiniti, Lexus, Nissan or Toyota, or even Focus or Neon.

Pros: Stylish exterior and interior.

Cons: Poor engine, suspension, performance, uncomfortable interior.
